DX not very good when things go wrong, i feel scammed!

Ive been waiting 6 weeks for these cells

http://www.dx.com/p/genuine-sanyo-18650-2600mah-rechargeable-battery-with-protection-board-red-pair-121447

and dx just want me to wait longer, ive put a claim into paypal, i think the cells were a to good to be true offer that was just “to good to be true”. dx ticket system is useless each time they just want you to wait 2 weeks longer, ive asked for a refund and they will not even reply to that, ive purchased a few things from them and will not use them again, i feel as if ive been scammed. I ordered 2 batches of 4 cells. Ive had better customer service from ebay sellers in China than this big company.

you have some days more to escalate to a dispute. I´ll suggest you to wait a bit more, parcels from china use to take 50 days in my case…
if you don’t have news in sa couple weeks, escalate it and let paypal work for you

I'm pretty much in the same boat for the same cells. I just keep waiting. I'm expecting an email saying "we've cancelled your order . . ." soon.

Liion batteries from china have to be shipped through Malaysia or some other obscure route. I don’t believe any Chinese company can ship liions to you in under 6 weeks. Most take 2+ Months.

No, the issue isn't shipping, it's that DX still hasn't received them from their supplier (i.e. backordered).

i would wait a bit more and then escalate to a dispute if they refuse to cooperate

They will arrive but you’ll have to wait. The longest wait time for me was 4 months for this http://www.dx.com/p/bm-029-mini-car-powered-thermometer-voltage-tester-black-dc-12v-170477#.U0bjqfmSx1A I thought that it won’t come at all but it arrived

Most of these sellers like DX are just fine until something goes wrong. My sister makes survival kits and bought 500 emergency whistles from DX. They sent her just one. When she complained, they apologized and promised to send the remaining items. They sent her another one. By that time it was too late to file a dispute, and she was left with 2/500 of her order and let’s just say won’t be doing business with them again. Before that she bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff with DX without incident.

My stories aren’t quite so dramatic, but I’ve had enough good and bad experiences with DX and most of the others to barely come out a net positive. I trust these sellers about as far as I can throw them.

Did you try the chat system? I was able to get a refund while online with chat in minutes.

Also, fill up their forum with complaints, usually someone from DX will respond and, if not, at least others will learn.

Oh, I'm not complaining . . . yet. I'm sitting back and waiting. It's not much money for me to be too concerned. I have a few months before I would need them.

DX is big outfit. So big, that your claim doesn't mean a thing to them. All of these sellers start out small and they try hard to do good, but when they get big, it doesn't matter, because the sheer volume makes up for the complaints. For each one of you, there's ten to a hundred more people signing in and buying from them every day. It's a drop in the big Chinese bucket, get used to it. Every dealer is your favorite until they screw with you and sooner or later they will all screw with you. (By you, I mean all of us, not just one person).

Agreed with Old-Lumens. Companies like DX could give a flying leap about us individually as customers.

And if they get such a bad rep that nobody will do business with them, they’ll just change their name and web site.

I’ve never bought from them, there prices are more expensive most of the time

Forget their ideas, follow paypals. Lodge your dispute within the 45 days and all you lose is time. I set a date in Google calendar for 40 days after I make the order (do it just after you PP them the money so you never forget). If I have not got my item when the calendar reminds me, I will notify the supplier and try to resolve it, which means me having it inside the PP 45 days including hte 40 that have already passed. If I dont have the item in my HANDS, not some notice it will be sent, or its on way, or please wait one more week etc, IN MY HANDS, I will lodge the PP dispute.

I ordered the exactly same cells on 1st April. After a week, I opened the ticket asked them why the cells are not shipped yet. They replied it was currently out of stock (it wasn’t marked “SOLD OUT” when I ordered) and don’t know when they will be back in stock and gave me option whether I want to cancel the order or wait. I immediately canceled the order and they refunded me the money yesterday. They also gave me $2 store credit for inconvenience.

I e-mailed them asked to cancel the sanyo deal because I don’t want to wait indefinitely… so they replied me back and saying it was canceled and they will refund the payment to my CC… but I still haven’t seen it yet on my CC :Sp
I did order few things from them in the past… the shipping time is always around 1 month :stuck_out_tongue:

Feb. 15th, I ordered four items. Still waiting on two items. (EDIT)

They blinked, offered a refund or store credit for the amount of the missing items.
That’s good. Took a while, no surprise, but they did finally do the right thing

Bought a Tank007 PA02 and some o-rings from DX. Both appeard as in stock items, 15 days after the purchase they simply refunded the value of the flashlight. Not a really big deal but the long shipping times and the weird occurances do not estimulate me to buy from them again.

Dx used to be one of my preferred websites for non flashlight related items. After having to cancel my last 4 orders because of out of stock (showing in stock) I’ve decided not to use them anymore.

I ordered $30 of drivers and just received the package. Had only one driver and it was the cheapest one from my order. Order says all were shipped on the web site. yay, time to do the complaint and eventually paypal dance.

UPDATE: DX has responded saying the other drivers were shipped separately and gave me a tracking number. Still just in "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" status. We'll see, but a good sign.
