Over two weeks to dispatch an 18650 cell…. Not impressed as that cell is to go with a light ordered at the same time in November…

If they could get it together with the shipping they could be a good supplier.

I ordered (order number W1410051119473928) this Osram Headlamp last 06 October 2014 along with other items and got my parcel this morning.

I was happy with my little headlamp though its was not really bright when I installed an alkaline AA battery in it. Since its specs at GB says that it also takes 14500 cells, I installed a Sanyo UR14500P in it. It lit for a while then it went off. When I opened the battery compartment, out went a very unpleasant smell as if something putrid was burned.

I opened the zooming head and this is what I saw.

The middle part (an IC) of the driver was burnt and it smells really bad till now. Sad

I think GearBest needs to correct the specs of the headlamp. Others who would order the same could suffer the same fate or worse – cause a fire.

That’s a bummer. Wait over two months for a headlight and it goes up in smoke the day it arrives.

Man, when are you going to get your shipping straight.

I paid extra for SG post, which normally takes under 2 weeks to ship to my address.

Order waited on processing for 6 days, and then GB sent with NL POST anyway. NL Post shipment normally takes 1.5 months to get to me! Now I’m even going to have to wait an extra month even when I specifically picked my method and paid the extra fee.

What’s the point in paying extra to pick shipping when you’re gonna ship them however you want anyway.

Hi Pulsar13,

We send out the order by our own shipping department ( I’m sorry we can’t be a courier by ourselves, we are not professional about it ) , as there are many procedures, so it will take some more days to ship the orders out. ( it usually will take about 3-5 business days)

As for the there are many festivals and holidays recently, so it will take more time for the order to reach you. ( Whatever, could you please PM with me your order number, I will add this feedback to our shipping department department).

Hope you can receive it soon, Have a nice day. Smile

You are not seeing the issue? Let me put it step by step.

1. GB offers choice of shipment for extra fee
2. I pay extra fee and pick my courier
3. GB ignores the request and ship different courier
4. GB keeps the extra fee anyway

Really, you see no problem here? Both you and CS gave the same “don’t worry it’s the same” message.

Great prices, but woeful shipping times.

Made an order on 1st Dec for an item that was in stock, received a “tracking number” two weeks later, then yesterday “tracking status” finally shows up as “pre-adviced” … which I take to mean the item hasn’t actually shipped yet?

Was also told initially that my address did not exist, so I provided an alternate address … then when the tracking number gets e-mailed through the details show that the item is going to the “original address” that they said didn’t exist! Worse still, I checked with CS here on the forum and they “confirmed” the shipment is going to the alternate address!

What the … ? Never had so much trouble before buying from ANY other vendor worldwide.

CS, I’ve PM’d you again a couple of days ago to confirm whether the items have shipped, and also which address they are going to. Please respond, thanks.

Is it only me or the tracking number HAS to be paid?
There is a box saying: “You will need to pay for a Tracking number when ordering batteries, they must be sent by registered mail. If you do not wish to pay the additional fee, please remove the battery from the order.
Tracking number + $1.99”

I don’t have batteries in the order and I cannot unclick the box for the tracking number. I find it useless to pay 1.99 for something that doesn’t work anyway.
So my question is, can it be unclicked?

I have had trouble with their software too. Try starting over, maybe in a different order, and see if it works. When I went ahead and ordered for a wrong price and complained later, they refunded the difference, but I don’t recommend that.

First order was amazingly took a long time to reach Oz.

Second order havenot arrived despite it was purchased in Oct14. Log a complaint and was told to wait another week (in Dec).

Had much better luck and service from the other competitor.

Just when I thought Gearbest could not get worse, it just did. So basically if you open a Paypal dispute with them in case you don’t receive your order, they will not ship new orders to you at all. They had not trouble taking my money though. Oh god I’m doomed, where will I buy my flashlight related products now? I’ve been banned from Gearbest lol !!!1111oneeleven

Reminds me of this one from Seinfeld.

So far the Tangspower has worked great.

Actually I’ve contacted their CS for a few times. Always via their site, never mentioned BLF or PayPal and all the issues had been resolved with no problems.

I ordered Skilhunt H02R, light arrived defective, what I described with details to CS…
After really long discussion, many comments and hard work with explaining what is wrong. What more also after contact directly with Skilhunt, I
got assurance that defective part will be sent to me. Case was closed by CS without any additional questions (I see that I’m not the first one treated like this…) but I was waiting patiently.

5 weeks later, still without package, I created new ticket, just to ask what is going one. Answer I just have got is ridiculous:

“I am sorry that item is not in the stock now, cloud you please wait it?”

Everything can happen, item may be wrong or defective, but such approach to customer can not happen…
I wonder when CS had intention to tell me that part was not shipped…

Still without working headlamp and without hope for good solution… (any one after 5 weeks will be mediocre)

I ordered some batteries and iPhone chargers from Gearbest on 1-15-15 and paid the extra $1.99 for tracking number. The order shipped on 1-19-15 and after 10 weeks it still has not arrived.
Using postnl the only tracking information is that it is pre advised. I opened a ticket with customer service and they offered to resend if I pay for tracking again. I don’t want to pay for another tracking number that doesn’t work.
I’ve had at least 7 or 8 orders with gearbest and only 1 tracking number has worked so far. This is the only problem I have had with them. The packages have always arrived. Shipping I usually slow but 70 days? Am I being unreasonable?

Shipping li-ion cells is a problematic, for example gearbest can not ship cells to me, I can buy only from one retailer and he is shipping via NL post office which is the worst. Li-ion cells take about 50 days at best to arrive and only tracking that I can see is when package enters my country, then it is registered in local tracking sistem…
