Interesting new "Romisen" XM-L competitor for C8

Just saw this one. Labeled a RC-T601. Don't know if its genuine "Romisen" or not as there seems to be some debate about some of their lights. It could be and they just have not updated their website. (Xtar has several lights not on their website and Thrunite still has not updated their website since about two years ago so that can hardly be a determining factor.) An interesting design change from the run of the mill C8 lights but definitely in the same size/reflector category. I actually like it better. Smooth reflector, 5-modes. So far the only places that seem to have it are szwholesale and one ebay seller.

Maybe someone can email them and find out. Worth it if the real deal.

I really like that design! Hope it’s real but doubtful:s

Cooling fins look actually functional .

Well there are some anodized threads and the printing seems to match the genuine Romisen so that is in favor of being genuine, but I think someone will need to contact szromisen to be sure.

The ebay link says its an OP reflector !?!

It looks very Romisen even though it's a new design, the (inner) tailcap is exactly the same as in other genuine Romisens. No need to email them, this is genuine.

I really hope they don't use a fwd clicky in there with the 5 modes, that would ruin an otherwise promising light for me.

Hmm... Looked more like a smooth in the pictures. Might be slightly textured.

That's a very nice light! Will be nicer if Manafont or Shiningbeam carried it.

Bought this a month ago. Email szromisen before purchase but no reply. It get hot on high mode after 20 mins.on mid mode is ok.still waiting for x9 to arrive to do a comparison.
Wonder how it will fare against kd/uf c8?considering getting either one

New 2 mode version (yay!) being offered by Shiningbeam:

Thats weird i was JUST looking at this thread about half an hour ago.

Me too. Question about the model came up on Bikeforums Electronics sub-forum. I was looking here and on CPF to see if anyone had seen it yet.

Wow, 2-modes, it's a real Romisen, and you can get it from Shiningbeam for fast USA delivery.

That is a much better deal than the $24 generic (Ultrafire?) C8 I was looking at in another thread.

Hmm haven't ordered anything from shiningbeam for almost a year. Tempting.

i am thinking that at this price point (~30US$) it's maybe the point to step up, leave the budget and premium budget field, and buy some non-budget light. Dinodirect and its coupons (sorry for shilling :D) allows us to grab Klarus, Jetbeam, Sunawayman, or even Fenix.

Fenix is China's #1. Premium mass-market brand. (and too expensive for my taste)

A cycling buddy has the 5 mode version of this and it's a nice solid light - much nicer than my UF & Palight C8's. I think the two mode is great for biking (usually only use mediuma and high anyway), might have to get one myself.

Nice to see it come to Shiningbeam. I still need a thrower in my collection. I've been meaning to get one for almost a year but keep getting sidetracked by other lights and review samples. Maybe this is what I need to get, but I'll wait until someone else gets one and does a review.

I got the Rominsen RC-T601 today from DinoDirect and I say it is a very nice light. I just got a TK21 U2 yesterday and doing some shots in the house the RC-T601 looks brighter....

How does the RC-T602 compare with this in terms of throw? Like the form factor better.
