Feilong - NO GOOD- Steer Clear!!!

I purchased a used Feilong 2D80-CSM360 flashlight (no I did not pay the $900.00 retail).
After a few uses the light quit working, contacted the factory and was told to send the body of the light with the LED. I followed all the shipping instructions, double checked with local USPS and all was good. I shipped it 2/25/2014. Feilong claims they never received the package and the USPS has basically told me to pound sand. I’m not leaving anything out other than I have the two lenses and a charger and I might be somewhat angry.
Beware is my intent.
Wonder if anyone else has had a similiar experience?

not the same but i got screw up bad with a mechanical match that i buy from aliexpress for $97 and after i receive it the watch got an issue with the fly wheel and i return it to china but until now it never arrive at destination :frowning:
i send it 2 month ago and i already ask my local post and they do nothing about this matter |(

Being treated like it’s my fault solidifies my increasing frustration.

I must be on a string of dealing with the USPS idiots.

You did send it using a traceable shipping method right?

I shipped it with tracking. In fact it still says it is in transit. For nearly 90 days? and USPS archived my case and factory claims no package was received.

sadly I have the same issues with shipping something to China… the seller claims they never receive it either
I didn’t want to pay for insurance or tracking because it will cos additional $25… heck the bike light was only $35
Well. that’s when the thief working at USPS decided to swipe the package knowing too well that without tracking nor insurance there’s nothing you could do about it.

Have you ever try calling their international claim? 1800-222-1811… this will give you more grievance than just accept your loss.
Sadly these people who worked here have no pride in doing their job and it shows! |(

average 1 1/2 hr of waiting only to have it tranfers many times… worst if you call around 3pm and they picked up the phone around 4pm, they will tell you to hold on and then hang up as their shift is over |( |( |(

Now I know where the word “going postal” coming from :Sp

,

From your perspective, the item may have disappeared from your local carrier, or any of the carriers between them and the destination, and it may be misplaced/stolen by the destination. Thats a lot of people to investigate.

From the destinations perspective, it may never have been posted by you, and misplaced/stolen by anyone between them and you. Again, a lot of people to investigate.

All absent registration of postage. With reg things change slightly.

Who do you think is going to investigate all of that? doesnt help you, but the reality is that its far to complicated to investigate lost items, unless registered, and the service has a registration process that functions.

The trouble with not dealing with a store you can drive to, is there is so may places stuff can go wrong, and reality suggests the costs of sending in CSI or an investigator will be prohibitive.

Did you insure the parcel? Is the postage registered? These are your only real protections. If not, youre probably screwed. Ive not done so myself, but Ive been told shipping to China is a risky venture. Most of the Chinese sellers wont return ship. They prefer a video, and they will just replace whatever it is.

A $900 light, thats a different ballgame. Id only ever deal locally for that kind of money.

I have dialed the claim number for international a few times and I wonder if they actually are holding the phone upside down once I get off hold… It’s a joke.

I would welcome a suggestion of a store, dealer, etc that would be a future option.

I received an email from the factory wanting the tracking number, gave them the entire run down from start to current, no word back.
Never dealing with China again, in fact watch for a sale of such lights.

You don’t have to worry if you insured the package. Just contact your local postal company (USPS?) and I’m sure they will investigate the claim. Try knock on their door if you can’t reach them via phone. I shipped an expensive item once to a buyer in Australia. The item is a limited edition Nintendo 3DS. It was not a $900 item but I still ship using EMS service to make sure the item not sitting longer when in transit. Did you use expedited or regular airmail? About the seller, I understand your frustration but you can’t blame them if the status is still not delivered. Good luck and don’t worry if you have proof and insurance.

I’m just not feeling this. How does Feilong carry any blame?

I appreciate your advice and I will go knock on the post office door but this will be the second time, the first was a response of you package is in China somewhere…

I’m not trying to convince people to lay blame on them but when I ask the proper procedure to ship the light back to them and they give me directions which I follow exactly one would have halfway hope it would get there, I’m sure I am not the only one to ship a package to them. Now they are saying I am at fault? I included every single piece of information in 6 places in, on around that package. Outside, inside the first layer, the second layer, attached to the inside of the package, around the body of the flashlight and even inside the body of the flashlight. I even paid for twice the weight so there would be no postage due if it came to that.
So, how does Feilong NOT carry zero blame?

Checking back through my tracking it shows the package was delivered on March 24th, then from then on it show’s in transit… Did someone at Feilong accept it and then what???

Have you tried using the tracking # you have at 17track.net? Sometimes that shows different/additional information.

Apparently the light has been dis continued as this email was received saying this…

Hello
Because the product has been discontinued, the remaining parts is no role.
How do you have any need, just buy the LED and body parts, the price is $245.00, be able to give you assembly, you see how?

Now they say they refuse to accept any package I sent…???

From Feilong…
