I can't be happy with my kaidomian buying experience.

the past march 3 i ordered an UF-H3b, wich appears in the web with a "1-3 days shipping", today i'm  still waiting for the send.

The products appears with confusing descriptions, like this ones:

I buy the second one, this means that a 50$ flashlight comes without a box? you have to buy it like an extra gift? why appears the complet box 2 days after the flashlight?

I do not think to buy again in Kaidomain.

I'm sticking with good old USA suppliers (even though they buy from overseas). Pay a little more but a hell of allot less frustrating and they for the most part know how to take care of thier customers. Waiting 5 weeks for orders is totaly unacceptable. Chow for now china! until I see some improvement in your operations.

I can understand but I am too cheap to pay more for the same thing when all I have to do is wait longer.  Its like that hotel commercial, "We must train you to wait".

I pretty much dislike the lack of communication at kd. For the rest is okayish. Shifting my orders when possible to MF which are really very helpfull. But when you need a neutral R4 you have very few options... (for cheap)

I'm still waiting for the stuff I ordered from KD in the middle of January.

They are marked as having been dispatched on the 1st and 10th of March, but have still not arrived!

I'll stick with DX in the future as they actually seem to be sending things out pretty quickly at the moment.

Hey first post, sorry it has to be a complaint. I ordered a DC8 CREE XML T6  1000 LUMEN FLASHLIGHT and some trustfire 186500 batteries  from them  on March 27th but never got and order conformation. I am not a member and when I had the items in my cart i clicked on "pay with paypal" Paypal sent me a receipt saying they sent them the money but I still  have recieved nothing from KD. I have e-mailed them twice from two different accounts with all the information on my order (items , time, date of order, pay pal transaction # ETC)  But I have not heard back from them. Has anybody ever called them on the customer support # Paypal gives for them?  I don't mind waiting for an order but i hate not knowing if it was received or not, especially because this is a birthday gift  for an upcoming birthday.  Is this normal for them? Do they send conformation E-mails? How about tracking # ? Any suggestions on fixing this problem would be appreciated   Thanks for your help...................................Skip

I'd not worry about the lack of confirmation. In 5 years of ordering stuff from KD, I've never had one. If they have it in stock they ship faster than many a Hong Kong dealer. If they don't they are as slow as all of them. At 42 days put in a Paypal complaint. It will probably have been shipped - KD ship faster than many. KD may, or may not issue a tracking number but mostly they don't. Or at least they didn't use to. I have only once got the wrong thing from KD and it cost quite a bit more than what I ordered. And worked well for me.

 

I'd not worry about it for another month.

I just got an order from KD that was placed on March 1 and it took them a few days to ship (most of the time it was stuck with Hongkong Post). It definitely is better to set up an account first and then order while you are logged in (KD doesn't keep you logged in for very long). That way you can see what is up with your order. I had an order that was slow once (turned out the postman didn't leave a notice at my house that I had a pickup ready) and wrote to customer service and never heard back. Their communication is bad, but I have always gotten what I ordered eventually.

Always give them at least 24 hours to respond to an e-mail since the time zones are so different.

I know I only get a confirmation email from them if I click the right Paypal button...but I can never remeber which is which Silly

Thanks for the info! I did set up an account with KD for future orders and hopefully that will help. They  finally sent me an e-mail  answering tmy request for an order conformation . They said My order was shipping today, and gave me a tracking no. It took four days for the responce. but  they did send me one so I am OK with that. Ill reveiw my order and post the results when it gets here.   Thanks for the replies folks............................................Skip

At KD you must be logged in to get confirmation email and have your order visible in

"Your Account". See post #41 and #45 above.

Cheap quality is good - Expensive crap isn´t

i received my order today from kd and after opening the envelope found that i was missing some items. i ordered 3 q5 leds and 3 hd 28mm lens and received only 2 of each. ive emailed them and await their reply.

I received my order from kaidomain a few days ago and it took 2.5-3 weeks to get here. my order was missing a couple of items and have been emailing them to get the items replaced. they were a bit slow to respond to emails but they said theyre sending them out tomorrow.

I got my order from them yesterday, It took 17 days. everthing was fine in the order and after I e- mailed them three times they did give me a working tracking no so  I was able to anticipate and be home for the arrival.

Ordered a programmable Akoray K106, arrived a useless 6 mode version. Hope help center will solve this problem. I'll keep you updated.

It will be interesting to see what happens because I don't think KD even sells the 6-mode. I've had all successful orders from KaiDomain (though they took a week or so to ship), but my most recent order had a missing item. They made it really easy to say the item wasn't there, and the account history shows "replacement" but they haven't actually said anything or shipped anything. I'm afraid I will eventually have to deal with customer service there.

I use to make a video every time i open a package because in this way you can avoid many problem if the item is wrong or broken. So i have a video where i open the KD package and i test the item. Is clearly visible that the flashlight is the 6 mode one.

The positive thing is that they answer to me after only one day. I send them the link of the video. Let's see what happen.

I don't know if KD would have ever sent a replacement and got tired of waiting, so I filled out their Contact Us form. The next day I got an e-mail asking me to confirm what part was missing. After I did that, tonight they said they would send it. So the system worked eventually, but not quickly, which is about right for budget lights.

I had some minor issues with defective or wrong items from KD. They allways solved the problems to my entire satisfacton.

Update: I send the video and after that NOTHING. KD support disappear.. I wrote agian but no answer.. Any suggestion?

If you don't get a reply with 24 hours (not counting weekends) then you should send another one. Use the Ask a Question link and give them your order number.

I don't know how well it will all work though. They said they would send the driver they left out of my order, but there is nothing to confirm that they sent anything or are preparing to do so.

FOLLOW UP: I received the driver a few days later.

I had exactly the same problem. I sended the photo and a link to the video i made when i open the package. But then nothing happen. I wrote to them again. Now i can only wait.

Finally i got an answer. They ask me to send back the item. They will ship the correct item this week.

I have only a doubt... They want the item back but they refund the shipping cost once the item is arrived in Hong Kong. The problem is that they don't want tracked mail. How do i know when and if the package is arrived?

Do you think i have to trust them and send back the flashlight? If they don't send me the right item again i have spent the price of the flashlight+the shipping cost and i don't have any paypal protection... (the first order was placed 4/28 so i have only few days)

Go ahead and file a dispute now anyway, which will buy you a couple of weeks to work everything out. You can mention that in your dispute. Even when the dispute period ends and you elevate it to a claim, there is still another week for them to respond to the claim. So you have at least 3 weeks for them to receive everything and give you a refund. And you may be able to ask PayPal for an extension if they seem to be making progress (I don't know if that exists, but it seems reasonable).

Also there is no reason (as is often happening here) to go rampant with paranoia and distrust when hundreds of people just on this forum has bought from KD without ever beeing ripped off.

Davx: You don't know if it arrives. But If they didn't want to pay for registered mail (unstandable since its 5 times more expensive in Europe than in HK), they can't prove you DIDN'T send it either. So don't worry so much...

Just because KD is responding favorably doesn't mean you can't file a dispute in order to extend PayPal's protection. The fact is the issue hasn't been resolved until the customer is happy and neither party owes the other anything. That isn't going to happen before the 45 day limit. The dispute costs nothing, especially if it resolves itself favorably. Even if you have to file a claim, there is still time to drop the claim and say it has resolved itself.
