Cheap Olight deal on fleebay- and it come thru!!

I had noticed on fleebay a Hong Kong based seller was selling Olights at $1 starting bids. I had also read a lengthy thread over at the other forum where many had doubts, but at least one buyer could vouch his came thru. I could resist after a while and put a couple of half kidding bids on some lights. Surprisingly I won 2, one of the an Olight SR95. I paid a ridiculous amount for it (under $140 including shipping).

However after paying for it I noticed that for a seller with nearing 3000 feedbacks, their feedback was around 97.5%- NOT a good sign, and many bad feedbacks starting up recently, including comments of didn’t send probably because they didn’t get enough for it.

I paid for the light on the 21st June and was expecting a long wait before being able to lodge a dispute, fully expecting not receive a thing- but today came home to be welcomed with a DHL heavy box containing a full fledged brand spanking new SR95! It’s beautiful, big, heavy and pretty darn bright.

I cannot believe that this came thru! I’m not advocating anyone go buying their lights (still auctioning lights as we speak) however it goes to show you never know your luck! What I don’t understand is how they can sell a $400 light for that kind of money? Has anyone else had luck with this seller?

Congrats on the great deal. I saw that thread, and was also amazed at the prices some lights were going for. Shows what the profit margins must be.

There seemed to be quite a few Olight deals - mostly on older stock, like the SR51, but you did well.

Any link?

Well at this point of time, for me personally, that light should not even be 140, its beat out by much better TK61, which cost around 150$, much better runtime, alot lighter, smaller and so on.

Congrats on a good deal for you!

Auctions to strike me as much risk of a scam, or at least it doesn't follow the formula. It's the "buy it now" deals with ridiculous prices that I'm wary of.

Nice piece but it is outdated. Price over 150, is unreal.

Was it this seller ?
I’ve bought 4 olights on auction from him for nice prices, 2 out of 4 had noticeable scratches in anodizing. On one of them it was painted over with black marker, lol. It seems to me that he puts returned lights on auction. I’ve asked for a partial refund for the damaged lights and received it right away though.
If you want absolutely new flashlight it might not be the best place to buy from, but if you don’t mind few scratches it’s a great deal (I’ve got S20 for about $20)

Yes, that’s the seller- yes, these lights are out-dated however their quality is right up there and for this money, why not.

Warmurf I sent you a pm

That ebay vender should pay you some commissions. Since this thread, bidding on his stuff has heated up markedly.

You’re not kidding, he should. We 2 out of 2 have arrived so far. I have won another 5 but am not expecting them in as yet.

Sorry for the delay, I’ve replied to the PM.

More commission due for you from my sale:

I saw the Olights, but ended up getting one of the same seller’s IP cameras for a really good price…
Combined with an 18650 battery pack, it may be a good portable unit.
Unlike the ebay description, it does not do FTP, yet, although it looks like a first generation firmware.

Was tempted by the Olight SR52 though.

Has this seller no items at the moment or is just my ebay defective

He had maybe 30 items earlier, at least 4 or so torches including Olight intimidators and a Nitecore HC50 IIRC.

There is some older discussion about that same ebayer at the other forums.
He does seem to ship the purchased lights most of the time, but sometimes he does not.

Depends on your local ebay:

0 lights on the German Ebay: | eBay
6 lights on ebay.com: | eBay
31 lights on ebay.com.au: | eBay

Sometimes I hate these automatic origin recognition or whatever. On some website they even show the local currency instead of $ and I have to change that every time. Cnqg doesn’t work on ipad safari and eBay seems now to make dumb things also…weird world.

Does anyone know what happened to this seller?

Using Suncoasters link- I’m seeing the seller has 105 items for sale on US eBay…?

Yeah, but no more lights…
