Thanks for making these videos. I’m still trying to decide if I want a Zoomie.

Looks pretty nice. Does it have a solid or hollow pill? Could tell us what the tail cap readings are? Could we gets some beam shots as well?

Sorry, i’m not the technical guy, expect some BLF guy can do a technical review for this flashlight, thanks in advance!

Could we at least get a couple of pictures of the beam (zoomed and un-zoomed)?

I have one on order, shipped. I'll post a short review. It looks pretty nice for $12.

just send me one and I make a small review and disassemble it to look what is inside…

Looking forward to your review Tom!
Seems a promising light.

Thanks Tom E, expect your review!

I’m also very curious what the pill/heatsink setup is like. If it’s well sinked this looks like a nice light, I like the tail cap with recessed button, should tailstand great. Definitely keep us UTD Tom!

Yes, not much time lately - little overwhelmed right now. I've been struggling with switch issues on this light. I swapped it out - still same problem. Thought maybe the button was too tight up against the rubber boot - shaved off some of the button so it's looser now - still same problem. I'm measuring about 17% difference in hi mode from switching modes, coming back to hi, or, just slight depressions of the button will change it. It's a cheaper style button - meaning no PCB board and uses a contact flange to make contact to the outer shell. I originally thought it was the brown threaded reflector thing, but wound up being the button problem. It's very frustrating when you can't get a consistent reading...

Nice pill:

Easy mod to skip current limiting resistors. Simply move the + wire to the solder blob pad on the left:

  • solid pill top
  • 16 mm machine out cut where the MCPCB is mounted (ok to me)
  • nice wide diameter lens for a light it's size (no big width bezel like many zoomies have now-a-days)

Tailcap parts:

Hope this helps. I think it's definitely worth the price - easy moddable, nice quality. Only negative is the tailcap switch issue, which is pretty common I believe in these lower cost zoom lights. The 17% is measurable on a meter, but probably not noticeable in real life usage.
