Looking for a very small light

I'm on the hunt for as small a light as I can afford (>$40)...I want something CR2 or 16340...has to take rechargeables. I like the smallest Quark and Nitecore lights, but from what I can tell they can't use anything other than primaries...or am I wrong? I would be happy with an ITP EOS A1, I have an A2 and A3, but would prefer something that tailstands, but also prefer a clip, and floodier would be better. I've been searching quite a bit and thought it was time to ask the experts...I've obsessed enough!

This light is a little quirky but it ticks some of your boxes so it might be a consideration and its tiny at 52.8mm

It is a pure flooder with a perfect even spread

trustfire Z1, one of my favorite lights.

About $16, single cr123, it's the one on the right

Hello. I just got one of these:

Hi there,

I don't know much about Quark and Nitecore, but I'm positive that they accept rechargeables, at least NiMH if not Li-Ion too.

You also might consider the UltraFire UF-H1, it's a tiny little thing with a clip and a nifty infinite brightness control and an extremely floody beam:

That's exactly the light I first thought of when I read the OP. :)

If you're already looking at the nitecore, I can confirm that the nitecore ex10 sp runs excellent on 16340's. I modded mine (/surprise) with a NW xp-g 3D tint, and it is hands down my favorite light in this form factor. IMHO, it has perfect tint, perfect beam, and puts out just a hair over 300L on high.

Hit up Boaz here and see if he has any more for sale (best price around).

CR2 lights are neat little things, since the cells are so tiny, but still able to put out reasonable power to standard emitters (obviously for less time). The aurora SH-033 Stainless takes rechargeable CR2's and is quite small, but definitely not the tiniest at around 20 x 75 mm. The one I have tailstands, but I've heard that can vary by the run. The beam leans more towards throw, but that will be common with this emitter and reflector size combo. But, for around $13 shipped, how can you go wrong?

If you could manage to find a Nitecore ezcr2 used, that might fill the need. They go for about $50 new.

Thanks for the great suggestions, plenty to think about. I do have the Aurora SH-33...I ended up with it when I took a chance on that focalprice sst-50 offer for $15 that turned out to be the Aurora
