How to measure amps at tailcap w/ this meter?

Sorry if this is not the correct forum for this but I couldnt figure out anywhere better for it. Could someone please tell me if this meter can take tailcap readings and if so a idiots instructions way to hook up the leads and what setting to use? Thanks for any help. I normally do this with my craftsman dmm but I think I did something wrong with it and blow the fuses which I have no replacements for.

I say idiot instructions because I have that link bookmarked and read it, looked back at it over an hour and still cant get anywhere. I even have a old thread from the last time I tried this. Anyway, maybe its not as simple as put red lead on right hole and black lead on other and change switch to 20A, put black lead on negative battery post and red on battery tube. I dont know, perhaps this one wont work or I fried it too, but it doesnt seem to have access to fuses.

It looks like it only has AC current, i.e. it cannot be used for tailcap current.

With that type of meters you measure this way:

Cool thanks, that looks idiot proof, but Im sure i can figure out a way to mess it up
