What is the SMALLEST and BRIGHTEST light

Im looking for the smallest, brightest light.60-300 lumens. I like the DQG fairy, but cant seem to find it for sale. I also like the DQG bullet because it has the click activation instead of the twist, but its too long. SO the big question. Is there any lights as small as the DQG fairy but with button?? Thanks

how about one of these? Don’t they do everything in a BIG way in Texas?

If you’re interested in the MBI lights, IS now carries them, so you can get them from the U.S.:

Yes lol but this is for a special project. Nice lights but kind of pricey, looking to spend about $50 or less

Just ordered the DQG bullet just cause of the price… Only $21 bucks but im still searching for the perfect light.

Socom, did you check wallbuys? They have the Fairy as well as the even smaller Spy ;)

Yes I originally bought the fairy from that site, and I received an email saying that they didn’t have the product in stock. And yes the DQG spy is the probably the next one ill buy.

I’m also interested in the Spy with a couple blue trit vials. Is it a huge issue if you are the cell at 200mah?

The capacity of the 10180 is like 80mAh so 200mAh is too high a charge rate and will most likely shorten lifespan of the cell.

Good lord! What would one even use to charge a cell of such low capacity??

You could always build you a pretty bright little light

I built a small 16340 light, an Ultrafire 602C, XP-G and a 101-AK-A1 driver, and put a 10mm TIR in it and thing is amazingly bright for being so small

They have better emitters XP-G2

I flashed mine with custom firmware but the stock ain’t all that bad

Here is my build

I’ve also used the 602C as a host, and you’re right that it’s great, but, from the thread discussion, I think that the OP was looking for something much smaller. I myself didn’t realize that until I saw the later posts :(.

It is not finished I say: that sounds like a candidate for your 15->17mm scaled up driver, for even better output :-)

80mah sounds like a joke. I guess 14250 (~300mah) is the smallest I’d go, but 15270 (~550mah) seems a lot more reasonable.

Rub it on your hair?

Ooops!

Sorry, JohnnyMac…

Rub it on your DOG’S hair!

An MC0 from Mtnelectronics or pick up one of the adjustable charge boards and put together a lower current version.

Yep, I put a 2.2K ohm resistor on the RProg of a bunch of mine…get 500mA~ output all day long, an RProg resistor of 10K will give you a minimum of 180mA

I was looking for DQG choices too at the best price and one website was down. So I managed to buy some direct from the maker on TaoBao without knowing any Chinese. Both the Spy and Fairy are there, and the Spy has some discounted blemished ones(afaik it’s the textured part or lacks the same shine). I just placed the order, so hopefully it won’t be too long to get them.

Save 15 bucks it looks like on the spy with trit vial. Not too shabby if it’s not broken…

I did an impulse mod a few nights ago that turned out to be fairly impressive...

I still had my old M5 from DX's pricing mix-up a few months ago:

Like this one: http://www.fasttech.com/products/1601/10006901/1551101-ultrafire-m5-mini-1-cree-xp-g-r5-1-mode-150-lumen

...and this XM-L2 emitter on a 12mm board from FastTech in my box...

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1574603

The emitter/PCB was a perfect fit for the host; I used a cone-shaped diamond bit to slighly enlarge the reflector opening, and it perfectly seated around the emitter dome. It's a twisty, not a clicky, but it's still crazy-bright using my old Trustfire 14500s. I would love to see it with one of the Efest high-current cells...

Runtime is low... Tailcap current is unknown due to the design of the host, but it gets very hot very quickly, and brightness drops noticeably due to the thermal sag... Total flooder though... Not much of a thrower. Tiny reflector +OP +XM-L2 ≠ long throw.
