FOUND! HD2010 extension tubes

So I bought four Yezl Y3’s from WB, fast shipping (~12days) and good service btw, and got two “type c” three cell versions. Guess what… The ext. tubes are a perfect match for the HD2010! Plans have just been made to convert the Fandyfire into a 2x26650 , BLF17DD, MT-G2 monster! It makes sense too since the Y3 handily out throws the 2010 (Cd/Lm) and is a much higher quality light (2014 best-of nominee?), though it lacks the hefty mass of the 2010’s head… Now to get my hands on a UCL and copper/brass pill for the 2010… Anyone?

PS: I think someone should start a GB for the Y3. It’s a superb light.

Sweet! I think there should be a group buy on the y3, too.

I've been asking around just yesterday bout a group buy on the Y3. May take til this eve to get any replies. I think it's the most under rated, under reported, under knowing of, quality budget light around. Shame WallBuys is the only seller for the single cell version, at least that I'm aware of.

Wall-whos?

If a Y3 group buy comes about, I am in. I am looking at the C version of the light though. I have already ordered the AR lens to go with this light, but I haven’t ordered the light itself.

If we do get a good GB going I would definitely want the type C (three cell version… only difference is the included ext. tubes). Flexibility is a good thing… and like I said, it’ll make for good use of your now obsolete HD2010. I’m going to try to get some pics of how neatly the ext tubes blend in.

mhanlen: I know others may have some not so good things to say about Wallbuys, but my experience with them was excellent. Fast and clear communication and immediate shipping. I’ll have to look up exactly how fast it got to me, but it was quick. Packaging secure, and all lights arrived undamaged.

Y3, so good.

CNQG had the 3 cell version for $31 before the website overhaul, less than Wallbuys' 1 cell version. I think it's ~$39 now but maybe Ric would be interested in a GB. For nearly the same price, I'd as soon get the extension tubes included, too.

Yes, we’ll interest doing a group buy with this.

Ric

Wha.. that was fast..

Very interested in this! At first I didn’t realize the Y3 has a side switch, had I decided not to build up my SR51 (I was considering leaving it stock) I would have one already.

Ooh, side switch?! This is getting interesting. Maybe vestureofblood, Buck or Sinner could be talked into making some copper MTG2 pills for this.

I’m out. It’s a plunger. I was imagining the batteries in parallel. You guys rock on, I’ll watch your progress and wish you luck.
