Nitecore SRT3 versus Jetbeam RRT 0- Owners comments?

Hi-

I am close to deciding to buy a small (16340/RCR123A battery), infinitely variable LED flashlight and really like what I have read about the SRT3 and RRT 0.

I have found reviews where these two flashlights are each compared each to the Sunwayman V11R, but I have not found any reviews that compare them against each other.

I have done a side-by-side comparison of features and capabilities and still find it a toss-up to decide between the two.

Thus, I am wondering for those who own both of these flashlights, which one is your personal favorite and why?

Thanks!

Don’t have an RRT0, but I have the V11R and SRT3. Of the two I would pick the V11R because if I’m going to carry a 16340/RCR123A light, I’m expecting it to be small. The SRT3 is pretty big. Looking at the specs for the RRT0, it’s the same size as the SRT3. So, V11R wins for being the most compact.

The other thing I don’t really like about the SRT3 is the forward-clicky engages too late for momentary use, almost to the point of clicking the switch on. I do prefer the bolted on pocket clip of the SRT3 over the clip-on of the V11R. SRT3 also has the cool red and blue emitters, but I haven’t found them to be very useful for anything in my day to day routine.

I find I carry the RRT01 the most out of the 16340/RCR123A lights I own. It’s about the same size of the V11R. The one reason I like the RRT01 over the other two lights is that it’s controlled by only the control ring. No tail-switch button. I find I just like the interface better than the two stage approach of the other two lights (button and control ring). The RRT01 is about the same size of a V11R; so a V11R is really quite compact considering it also has a button on the end.

I’d go for the V11R because of it’s compactness in comparison to the other lights (SRT3, RRT0).

Thanks for sharing your impressions, bgyen. I’m going through each lights’ features one more time. It is a close comparison, but comparing capabilities, listening to other owners’ observations and choosing a light to buy is a large part of the fun of the hobby for me!

I love both flashlights, The SRT3 offers better features and performance for a similar price, It is a more recent model.
