I just got done modding my tk-61 and put a new higher led in it. I was just wondering does this look like a good hotspot? It looks tight and clean. I think it looks alright I would just like some input on what others think.

Thanks, I was kinda worried but I looked up a review on a vihn light and mine looks about the same. Guess I got lucky.
Did you check if the led does not have lint or dust on the surface? There appears to be some shadows in the corona at the 9 o’clock position in the picture, if so, maybe just blow gently with a straw making sure you don’t get saliva into it.
Otherwise looks perfectly focused. Good Job!

Yeah, he wasn't giving you a hard time. It's just funny that possibly every member in North America, maybe just the USA, has at least one of those. I use mine all the time. Saves wear and tear on the better ones.
That beam looks real good to me. If I'm shooting for just max throw and don't care about beam quality, I let a lux meter tell me when I'm fully focused. Many of these big throwers will have doughnut hole at close range when fully focused.
