I sent in orders to Manafont, SolarForce, Dealextreme, two weeks ago. When should I expect delivery?

Some of them shipped quickly, some of them took 8 days or so.

This is the big test for me, the make it or break it of this new hobby. How long will it take for these items to get to me on Guam?

I realize it's hard, but if you could please give me an idea of how long I should wait before worrying.

Thanks,

Ron

In my experience, the average would be:

Manafont = 2 to 3 weeks

Solarforce = 2 to 3 weeks

DealExtreme = 4 to 6 weeks but most likely more

But then again your shipping times may vary.

I have no idea of what shipping to Guam involves but from the time I place an order until I receive it from DealExtreme is usually 1 month assuming no issues with the item in the first place.

I hear Manafont is a little faster and I have no info regarding Solarforce. Some people have actually gotten items from DX in maybe 3 weeks (not me).

When DX when it says shipped that might be an exaggeration as well. Maybe it means it's in the shipping department, on the loading dock, at the Post Office but not out the door of the Post Office...it goes on and on. Patience is required (not my best trait either).

It does arrive however so worrying isn't necessary :)

Dont worry just yet, be patient. Some orders can take 30+ days to arrive. Worry on the 45th day. When were you're orders shipped? I know dx sometimes can ship items 7 days after you've placed a order. Im not sure the exact time it takes from china to guam. We all feel your worry , i hate waiting too.

2-3 weeks for mf and solarforce

dx : xmas and some things wont work. lol

DX delivery times vary a lot depending on the supplier. I've gotten stuff from Yanglight and JrElectronics in about two weeks. Opurstech took 6+ weeks. You can see the supplier's name near the bottom of each listing.

Robo's got the crux of the matter. DX (and alot of the others) don't actually carry stock on hand, so actual item shipping time depends on how quickly the supplier can get it out to them.

I've had items go from ordering to shipping to arriving in Canada in a week... followed by a month in customs. Other times it's backordered or the supplier sucks. I've got a jar of flashlight lube that's been on order for over 6 weeks now.

Bottom line? It's a turkey shoot. Items seem to go out the door to the postal facility the day after DX updates your package status, after that it's up to the vagaries of the international postal system.

On your advice I will cool my jets until the 45 day mark. Hopefully once the flow starts it'll get easier. Until till then ...

On Edit I see that of the DealExtreme order the Fujik went out from Opurstech, and it took about 2 weeks to get to the HK Post. The rest of the items went out from YangLight in half the time. I'm going to have to create a database to track these things. With too much of that clerical action this begins... I guess once the things start rolling in it won't seem so bad as the waiting part.

Ron

Trust me, Ron, it gets easier. If you buy once or twice a week, it's only the 1st 3 or 4 weeks that are rough. After that you will have a steady stream of envelopes showing up at your door both soothing your addiction and making it worse. :P

Johnny

It took about 3 weeks. If they keep arriving in that time period I'll be very happy.

So far I have gotten the Solarforce L2 with 2 extensions from Solarforce.com. Also the first part of a split order from DealExtreme arrived. It contained a Tr-001 charger, 2 packs of Trustfire Flame batteries along with a tube of Fujic. Missing was a Cree q2 Drop in Module.

I was pleasantly surprised that the 4 Trustfire Flame 18650 batteries came with 2 battery cases.

On a curious note 2 items are in question in my mind.

1) No apology slip was in included for the Q2 Drop In that was missing from the order.

2) An apology slip was included for an item from a different order. It described the item, an Ultrafire C1 R2-WC, as being out of of stock.

Now I am unsure the missing item, the Cree Q2 drop in module, is going to come at all. I have read of missing items or items substitution from Dealextreme. Only time will tell what is going on here. Hopefully within the next week or so both missing items will show up.

Ron

DX should know whether they sent a separate shipment for the LED. Submit a ticket and say the item was missing and they should be able to resolve it. Sometimes they split shipments, sometimes things are backordered forever, and sometimes they just forget. So if you don't want to wait they should refund that item.

Log into your DX account and check the invoice status. I've had a few split shipments and the invoice has been pretty accurate for me (unlike those ocassionally-missing apology notes).

Id say a while, after a while and dx is wtf did i.order? Free shipping is free.so small.orders are good

and i.am a dx fan btw next order from mf
