Ledsmoke's sales - EURO ZONE SHIPPING - STOPPED

STOPPED!

The new work has taken over too much of my time and I cannot find the time, the energy nor ignore the calls for attention from my kids and wife in order to keep making these.

To those I had made plans together with for custom work or "just" drivers. I am shamefully sorry that I will not be meeting your needs... It is entirely my fault for accepting too much work both from here and from my real work. That I fail you personally and the community in this way is hard for me to face. But I cannot pretend to be making these anymore at the moment and will not keep up appearances and mislead anyone.

And to those who have bought from me:

Thank you for your trust.

STOPPED!

I am selling the BLF17DD driver for the same price as Richard from RMM's store but build and sent from Denmark so that you do not have to fear that customs handling fee.

The shipping is 2 Euro for 50 grammes which would be 5+ drivers. No tracking. If tracking is wanted the price is 12,1 Euro for shipping.

The drivers are 10,34 Euro so for one driver shipped to you it would be 12,34 Euro.

This is just a picture of the how they are shipped. Solder braided spring. 50 - 60 mm 18 gauge silicone wire presoldered.

Firmware: Can be Star1,1 (which JohhnyC is fine with me using) or your own custom firmware. I can also cook something up for you in case you are too busy/unwilling/unable/? to want to do it yourself. Price for that service is free unless you have something really exotic going on :-)

Standard Star1.1 firmware is 4 modes starting from low: low - med- high - turbo

Selectable by soldering stars (I'll solder stars if you ask me)

Star #2 - Engage moon mode

Star #3 - Reverse the order of modes to going from higher to lower.

Star #4 - No memory - the driver defaults to the first mode after a short ( >0,5s ) off. So always starts in low if no stars are soldered and always starts in high if Star #3 is soldered.

Furthermore I normally have a small selection of direct thermal mcpcb´s and emitters ( XM-L(2) is my favorite so don't expect me to have XP-G(2)/XP-?? in wast amounts or at all in some cases) so you are welcome to ask what I have or tell me your prefence. This I only offer because I hate waiting for parts myself and getting the whole thing at the same time is just wonderful and sometimes makes my day :-) The prices for these are on an individual basis as I sometimes buy them on sale and other times cannot and thus my price fluctuates with what I pay. Just ask.

If you want I can do gasoline de-dome for you but I do not advise it. The led will be fine once inside your flashlight. It is the part of the journey from me to you where big muscular postal workers play frisbee with it that worry me. I will of course package it accordingly but still...

Shipping time should be 2-4 days according to the danish post... But they are a postal service and I think we are safer saying a week. I may update this when I get feedback from customers about when they receive their packages... Provided I actually sell more than a few of these :-)

Payment is via Paypal and the adress is to be disclosed by PM :-)

Please feel free to ask any questions and point out any spelling or unclear language of this thread. I am not a native english speaker and sometimes make quite gruesome mistakes 8-)

Will it be possible to order BLF DD DIY kits from you too? Zener kits and such... (not just plug and play drivers)

Very recently placed order from RMM, so my inventory should be good for some time. But really nice to know these are available from EU too.

I was unable to find some basic informations about this driver (such as current readings in different modes!)

@ RaceR86 : Maybe we can work something out a little later. I did not order the zener diodes (and have regrettet it since) nor the extra capacitor (and have....) on my first order... DOH!

@lagman: That is dependent on the battery used and whether the host has low resistance mods done to the springs (copper braid) and short thick wires to the emitter(s).

These drivers are made to push the maximum power! Do all the low res mods and install this along with a Sony VTC5 battery and a XM-L2 (on a sinkpad or noctigon copper mcpcb) and you are looking at above 1600 lumens OTF. That is somewhere around 6-7 A :-) That is why I like them soo much (Say my name! LOL) and then you can decide which modes you want!

How many modes. High to low or Low to High. Memory or not. Turbo step down after how long? or not at all (Mwuhahahaha!) And so forth. It is a simple device with the attiny chip doing the controlling bit. The only thing it does not do well is sub lumens moon modes. I think I measured lowes to be around 8 lumens when installed in a host and using laptop pulls but cannot remember for sure. I remember 1620 on high though 8-) )

As a personal note I like that there is virtually no tint shift from low to turbo. All truely current controlled drivers have that tint shift and I don't like it one bit!

I just made a little mod thread on an old favorite of mine here, and one of these drivers. At the bottom of the first post there is a set of measurement of lumens with this driver and a 5 year old laptop pull. I just tried the high mode with an IMR battery (also 4? years old ) that I pulled from a dead tool battery and I get 1010 lumens on high... A never battery would give higher numbers again.

Thank you Klaus, my driver arrived today, thats one hell of a quick delivery! (Posted on monday)

Did a quick test on my test bench, and it works great.
Thanks a lot!

Now the wait for the xp-l on noctigon which it will drive to come in has begun….that mght take a little longer…….

Sales are temporarily stopped - See OP.

I wish you very good luck with the new job! I hope that the time and effort you will put into it will pay off :-)

(the x6 heatsink/spacer arrived today, looks good!)

Glad to hear it. And thank you very much. Its a gamble where I can alter the odds in my favor by being clever and working hard. But it will be uphill. 3 guys already gave up/wanted unrealistic wages before product is finished/other crap. I´ll give it my very finest.

Good luck, do your best!
