Hello. I have received some e-mails from a nice man at this company. He does promos, product startups. He said he got my name from doing a review of a product of his sold at Amazon. He said keep an eye out for an e-mail today for a new product launch, a camping lantern. If I respond to the e-mail he gives me a code to buy the lantern at Amazon for $1, and that $1 goes to Wounded Warrior Project or St Jude’s Hospital. He requires you do a review of the lantern for Amazon to increase the popularity. I placed the order today for $1, I have prime so I’ll have the lantern Wed.
he gave out codes for 40 of them and they went in 30 min he said. I was too late but he said he didn’t want me to miss out so he sent me a code? All sounds like a scam but he seems so genuine. I have a good sense of discernment so if it’s a scam in any way he’ll have trouble here
just wondering if anyone else has been contacted by him (I’m leaving his name out for now). Anyone hear of Xtreme Bright on Amazon?
I watched a couple of their product videos and it reminds me of late night infomercials with their claims of "200x brighter than standard LED lights...made of the highest quality components"
thanks Calvin, for digging. I was Googling also and could not find anything bad. He seems genuine. I get suspicious, especially these days, when someone wants to give me a $22 lantern for a buck. I’m happy to do a review on it.
I guess that bike light is a big seller on Amazon, and of course what you say is correct, but we need to remember that most are unaware of the real potential of flashlights. Thanks again Calvin.
I think I saw a similar lantern in Wal*Mart recently. They had quite a few products in this vein, inverted conical reflector sort of thing. I need to shop tomorrow, so I’ll try and take a look. If it’s the same I’ll snap a pic w/ the price.
FWIW I did check the flashlight section in Wal*Mart and I did not find any as slick as this one. The price still seems high IMO, but who knows. Maybe they are doing something that’s worth the price. Walmart’s stuff cost about half as much as didn’t seem as well thought out.
Hello. I received my light. Amazing promo, only $1. It’s a very interesting light. Good and bad. It’s hard to look at the light, 7 leds bouncing off that inverted conical reflector as u called it. Too bright. And it casts a weird beam because it has 4 plastic weld ridge lines running the length. I like how u just pop it up to turn it on, push it down to turn off. Runs on (3) AA. I would not pay $20 for it after having seen it. I paid $17 for a much nicer Rayovac Sportsman lantern quite some time ago
The owner of Xtreme Bright Lights, John Gill, is really great guy. I know him personally as we both sell on Amazon together. He is doing the $1 promo to rank for specific keywords within Amazon and it’s completely legitimate. He is a genuine, caring, generous, kind man. As an Amazon seller, he is an inspiration to me.
Great to hear. Actually, i don't about John Gill but I am satisfied with xteme bright flashlight so far. Big advantages is I can charge my almost all electronics device like cell phones, tablets music player etc. through this flashlight when i am not in home!! Their are lot of other features like very bright of 3500 lumens, weatherproof but I like charging advantages much. This Xtreme Bright Lights guide is very helpful and light is very powerful. I am using it from last year!
