please help guys

The Sipik SK-73 has a spring clip that fit where it is 22.5 mm. diameter. That should fit if you bend it slightly. Some other lights of the same style are even cheaper.

Drilling for screws is the only way I see any clip will stay in place with that shape body, there's no groove to locate a slip-on clip.

I’d agree about fitting a pocket clip, drilling and tapping the holes is the only way to get a secure clip.
USAKnifemaker has lots of them to choose from. They’ll sell the drills, taps and screws as well.

Link with your personalized session ID hash removed from the end. :)

I get my tinyscrews from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140945722167 & http://www.ebay.com/itm/261299251526

yea a slip on clip will not work. no grooves like comfychair said.

thanks for the link to the drill and clips.
looks like its gonna be difficult to drill such a small hole in such a small light.
any tips?

Probably so, at least with clips from cheap lights. I don’t suppose you want to resort to a hose clamp. You could file a flat spot, then drill and tap holes to fit a clip from an SK-68. Or, much easier, you can use self tapping screws.
You could get a TrustFire Z1 that has a clip. It is very different style but well made, but it only has an XP-E, so it has good throw for its size but less total light. Or there is an SK-68 you can buy with an XM-L already in it.

I drill the holes in the drill press, with the light in a v-block with a stop at one end (so the light can be rotated to drill each hole, but the location of each hole comes out the same distance from the tail end).

You don't need all that to do just one though. Hold the clip in place, mark the screw holes with Sharpie, then lightly centerpunch so the drill bit doesn't wander. You need to check the inside of the light to make sure the screws go in a section thick enough for them to be secure, pick a spot where it's too thin and they can pull out.

Those knife clips are nice, but I would be wary of trying to mount a flat clip onto a round tube. The clips sold as flashlight clips are formed to wrap around.

How about a deep carry clip? All you need is a small split ring, no need for drilling.

this is something different. pretty cool idea .
so basically, your light will dangle on this clip inside your pocket or belt right?

i wonder if the SS ring will be small enough to attach to the two tiny holes for the lanyard on almost every tail cap.

That’s correct. This has been my preferred method of carrying my flashlight the last couple of years. The location of the flashlight in the pocket becomes a bit more flexible and it works with basically any model.
I don’t have this exact model but I would guess that it won’t fit with you flashlight as it is. But if you could get hold of a small split ring to mount on your flashlight I think it would work perfect.
