This thing is annoying me so I created this poll. Depending on the outcome I will either send it (at my expense) to OLD4570 to mod.( only if he wants it - sorry should have checked first) or Destroy it! Of course pics will be provided if destroyed.

I want to see torture testing. Will it break on the first test or somehow keep plugging along. Drop tests of varying heights, freezer tests, run over by a car tests. Let's see what it can handle.
The led is already dead so the torture testing would only be on the body. I don't have the patience. I will just grab a hammer. I thought about a give away but who is going to pay post for a $3 light that will cost $15 + to make it reasonable.
I love that crappy torch , I have three of those . One from Focal Price ( 1 aa )and two from Priceangels (2 aa) which both burned at the first try , awful drive, awful switch also.
Saying that I think it's one of the best zoomies due the large pill easy to improve . A flatted copper coin hammer pressed and a bit of melted solder behind make a great pill.
Needing one two AA host to properly drive UV emitters this was the one, also one have an XR-E R2 direct drive through .1 ohm resistor, amazing.
Another plus is the star of the crappy emitter, great to put a lot of interestings things there.
I received mine today and initially I thought that at least it’s good enough to hang by the back door with a few other yard lights. 30 seconds on though destroyed the driver. It lost most of it’s meager brightness and only glowed a little bit. Took it apart and one component (electronically incompetent) was obviously burned and stinky. It took a DinoDump on me. Arenat is right though,there is a lot of good modding potential there,although I don’t know about the switch. I know it has been explained to us dumdums that the wonderful and generous people who gave us these lights had noble intentions but were just not flashlight experts so who am I to complain. Their business is selling flashlights though. I didn’t get this from the guy at taco bell.
