Reuse of the Lazerpoint wannabe Ultrafire C3 aka 12 LED UV light

Some of you might remember this thread where an Ultrafire C3 was offered at a bargain price and all we got was a 12 LED UV light. So did I. Everybody was refunded and it all ended well. But what should I do with this crappy light, thats flickering right from the start and uses 3xAAA? I ripped everything out and kept the body since I actually liked the form factor.

Later I figured out that a P60 drop-in fits very well. And thus it began:

I only used parts I already had: 16mm tailcap, new clicky switch, P60 drop-in with MC-E K-binning, o-rings, glass front lens, lots of solder and copper foil. As energy source I first used an 16340 liion battery but switched to a 18350 liion. On high it gets hot very quickly so I assume heat transfer is sufficient.

Was this rational? Nope.

Was this necessary? I think so...

Was this fun? Oh yeah!

Is this thing bright? Its an MC-E@2.8Amps, that should speak for itself.

Very nice and clean upgrade, heinzeins! Looks like you have a darn nice and usable little light now.

I have managed to squeeze 18650 battery (direct driven) into this flashlight + Q5, some QTC material, floody lens:
