Custom: Triple XML WITHDRAWN

$150 plus shipping. Price drop to $140 plus shipping. WITHDRAWN, SORRY
This is a big heavy light. Therefore looking to sell within Australia
Light without cells weighs approx 950g, so probably 1.3kg packaged.
Road freight in Australia or pickup in Sydney would allow me to include the LIPO cells
for extra cost.

Edit - I just cleaned up the knurled area on the 4D body, (they are not missing ano marks, just some dust)

OK, much information about the light:

Custom Light (built by me) $150 plus shipping.
Triple XML2 / FM 3inch Head / Mag 4D body
XML2 LEDs on Copper Noctigon sinkpads: Tints 2 x T6 3C, 1 x T6 4C
Der Wichtel Driver 5.23A

Notes;
Driver is adjustable but I did not install potentiometer. The grey wires in pics are coiled in front of switch, insatll a pot or switch with resistors to make it adjustable.
The LEDS are not perfectly centered. As they are secured with 3mm screws, you could spend the time to get them perfect.
One of the reflectors rattles a little if you tilt the light.Again you could spend some time to correct that, it was “good enough” for me to leave as is.
There is one very small imperfection in the head, seen in the pics, caused by light rolling of bench when taking photos after completed. Tailcap also was scratched but I have replaced that.
Light has a sleeve (proper machined delrin sleeve0 for the 4 x 26650 cells.
I have 4 x protected 26650s installed.
4 x 26650s won’t fit in 4D with standard mag spring, I have much shortened mag C spring in tailcap.
The light works great! Great beam and I have run for 30 minutes, rotating light occassionaly (but not hand holding which provides extra heat dissipation)
On fresh cells current draw starts around 3.8 Amps and increases as cells deplete so close to 1 hour run time.
Many hours went into the custom copper / al heatsink.

I consider this close to a give away.
Asking the cost of a FM 3 inch head and you get the rest for free.
Check price of Der Wichtel driver…
I will include some spare reflectors.

Photos taken during build:

I have just removed this sink too. I did not complete the project.
It is however a great fit in FM 3 inch head, with the Cree reflectors head tightens down just right.
I got the dimensions right, just failed with the driver setup, then lost interest.
1 of the XMLs is blown, it’s mainly the sink that’s worth something. Weighs around 390g…
Could include with above light for mimimal cost.

What a wicked build man! What a light. Well done.

+1. All the best for the sale.

Wow that’s beautifully done…good luck with your sale! shouldn’t take much to finish it.

Thanks fellas. It’s not seeming like time well spent now, although there are far worse ways to spend time (and money)

Bump with price drop

That is a nice rig. I am a bit lighted out right now, but sure like this one!

Bumpasaurus.

Wow…a frankenlight that is actually rather stunning…INCREDIBLE!

It would be rude not to say thanks for comments, so thanks for comments!
(and therefore Bump!)
