I picked up another gold one—convinced my wife she needed it. It’s a Valentines Day gift, I guess. Smile

1000 Lumen Rechargeable Flashlight, Morpilot Pocket Size LED Flashlight Ultra Bright, 5 Light Modes,
7.00 – 1.00 amazon coupon = 6.00+tx

If nothing else, the shell and battery might be worth it. Thoughts?

That looks interesting.

I hope it’s made better than the BIBTIM zoomie that I bought a couple weeks ago. It had a very sensitive switch and the only way to lock it out to prevent accidental turn on is to completely remove the battery.

At $7 with coupon, it’s hard not to buy this one, it’s hard to resist buying it, even though it starts on high and appears to cycle through the blinky modes.

I’ll be impresse if it really throws 500m.

These kind of lights are a big gamble. I'm not even so sure if it's true 26650 or 18650 - text says one thing, pic says another, and the hand held pic looks more like 18650 but hard for me to judge.

I saw that and would have tried it out but it was too expensive to gamble on it.

That is different, never seen one that separated the 18650 (2 Slots each), AA’s and AAA’s.

That charger reminds me of this flashlight:

https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Any-Battery-Flashlight-BF-BM10-W-White/...

This is not an endorsement for this flashlight either, im sure it sucks. Maybe good for someone’s nuclear bunker.

Charging cells in tight quarters? What could possibly go wrong? Hmm…

This is only safe if you remove (or dont include) any thermal protection. That makes a good plan..

I received this today. Its a 26650, Generic 3000mah. its a zoomie as well. Its ok I suppose. I’ll need to do some more testing but for 6.00 its not a bad call.

 Does it look like the pic of it in the hand? It's either a very thin tube or that's a giant hand...

Hmmm, looking up the VG10S got me to realize that it really isn’t at all like the VG15S (which I have).
I always overlooked this light because the number was smaller, and I must have felt that was…worse? (Haha, never figured they were different product lines.)
From what I’ve read, it’s a tad brighter, throwier, and warmer than the VG15S – anyone else have a firmer opinion on the VG10S?

Yeah, it’s completely different than the VG15S. Both are shown in my review here. It’s built really solidly and has a ton of heat sinking. $15 sounds like a pretty good price for it. It has a super low moonlight mode if you’re into that kinda thing.

I have this gem in the 3 color “Sharp Eagle” variation and can give the following observations;

Negatives;
Pressed in tail switch
Thin gauge body tube
Loads of low speed PWM on low mode (color unit is 2 mode each color)
Pill? don’t know, never took it apart.

Positives;
Nice clear lens
Decent threads
Wide flood, lots of slide to zoom
Mine has a nut on back side for tripod mount, on the one listed above they do not show the other side so who knows on that

For $5 its probably worth a shot and good for mod practice if nothing else.

Just noticed this: if anyone’s planning on buying more than one VG10S, you can apply the code 7O9IXO2X (or whatever’s on the Amazon listing page) during checkout for another 30% off. The savings stack with the coupon!

Wow.

I already ordered and recieved 1 at $14.99. I thought that was a screaming deal. Looks like with that code you can get 2 for $22.99.
That’s $17.47USD today.

Haha, I’m in the same boat. But I didn’t need the same flashlight twice, so my oversight saved me from spending more than I had to.
(At least, that’s how I’m consoling myself.)
