Just notice the Wuben E01 AAA on sale for $6.99

No coupon required and less than earlier GB’s.

A good budget LMH (w/hidden SOS) tail clicky, battery included!

I like it better than the Tool AAA. The UI defaults to low with a short ~10 second memory. The mode spacing is good enough. The button is mushier. Knurling is more aggresive. The built quality of the body is on par. It’s around the same size as the old reflector version and slightly larger than TIR lens Tool AAA. Comparison

As for emitter swapping, I believe the pill had weak glue (I can’t remember how much force was required to loosened it from a while back). Lefty loosy to remove. The driver is press fit tightly into the pill (much tighter than Lumintop; I initially thought it was glued). The mcpcb is press fit in place by a plastic retainer that spins with the mcpcb making it difficult to remove without twisting the wires off. The mcpcb has a ‘through hole’ design where the leads are feed into holes from the bottom and than soldered on top. The pill can fit a ~9.6mm mcpcb. Innards

flightless22 – Nice size comparison photo and disassembly details Thumbs Up

Setting price considerations aside, how does the Wuben E01 rate relative to the Tool and Ultratac, if I could only choose one?

Hey All,

…I noticed this Extech MN25 DMM for a mere $8.04 (regularly $32.99). So as a hobbyist who only needs a DMM occasionally for checking the basics like voltage or resistance, this seems like a deal worth consideration. For the community’s electronics experts, is the Extech MN25 worth purchasing for at least checking battery voltage, or as a backup to your backup DMM, or for gifting to someone just starting to learn electronics where a high-end DMM can be very intimidating, etc.?

Currently even lower, shows as $6.75 (from a seller with decent ratings)

Have the Wuben E01 and it is nice but suffers horrible low freq PWM. Ultratac has PWM as well in Med mode but not as low freq. Note my Ultrtac is older model so they may have changed.
Do not have a current Tool but do have the EDC01 and the IYP07 and they do not have low freq PWM.

The IYP07 has a nice Nichia emitter as well but that light is slippery but has a clip that is attached around the battery tube so it will not just spring off.

Having said all that I did order 2 more of the Wuben for gifts to people who do not understand PWM and really don’t care so it should work well for them.
The Wuben build quality is incredible for a truly budget model.

This looks like one of the hundreds of copies of branded DMM units. Mine (Craftsman) has been great for the occasional car/motorcycle related uses I have for a DMM. It’s a steal at that price.

I got my LED garage light. They are bright!!

Three tomatoes are walking down the street- a poppa tomato, a momma tomato, and a little baby tomato. Baby tomato starts lagging behind. Poppa tomato gets angry, goes over to the baby tomato, and smooches him… and says, Catch up.

Oh yeah. A little cool, but 2 for $10.80 is ok. One of mine comes on instantly and the other has a slight delay. I wonder what that means?

Imalent DM70 and DM35 are Lighting Sale right now on Amazon US. Only 20 to 25% off though (about $75 and $70).

Don’t have either. Just a public service message.

Dang, who do they think they are, Convoy? Big Smile

These will make great stocking stuffers.

Nice for gifts. But no USB charging, so they have to go to someone close since no one else has a charger. Or will a USB chargeable battery fit? That might be the answer. And no LVP, just low voltage indication. So is it safe if someone puts it in a purse or backpack and it turns on? Still, it will be good for the right person.

Weird… I just tried the FW3A (SST-20) and instead of taking 50% off, it took $0.50 off Question

Maybe instead of “50 percent” they meant “50 cents, per”. LOL

When I click the link, it goes to Vipon and shows a price of $25 and shows the countdown clock at about 24 hours until the coupon is available.

Yeah, I tried with the IYP365 code and got 20-odd cents off…haha, not exactly the discount I was after.

Won a 1% off code too.  Got to wonder if anyone actually uses these codes.
