I got 2 Samsung Samsung ICR18650-26F batteries a few months back, later ordered 4 more. Received ICR18650-26FM this time. Same battery, but made in Malaysia?
Does anyone know how to read the date codes?
Samsung date codes are on the metal can itself, not the wrapper…
Example:
On Metal Can
Line 1 : 1128 - 1st Digit Line Number
2nd&3rd digit - Model Name
4th digit - Year - 8 = 2008
Line 2 : 4E1C5 - 1st digit - Month (4=Apr, A=Oct, B=Nov, etc)
2nd digit - Day

Sorry - looks like the 26F has a different code - I will see if I can find it…
Saw something about the second character of the 3rd line on the wrapper being the year, but not verified.
If so, D=13 and E=14…
I just emailed Samsung battery division - I will post back if I get a reasonable response.
