The AA one looks like it might be a competitor to the Hugsby - -not so keen on the AAA one myself. But an efficient AA light that doesn't need lithium cells with a two-way clip at a decent price can't be bad.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

Thanks for the links charlestt!  In my opinion, the AA model has a very attractive design, and I like the looks of that clip a lot.  As you might expect from me, I wish it had multiple modes, though.  The price is better here: http://www.everbuying.com/C89-Super-Bright-Low-Power-Consumption-LED-Flashlight-p-22002.html

As for the AAA model, it personally doesn't appeal to me because it looks like the slide-focus mechanism (if you can call a telescopic sliding tube a mechanism) looks like it would be loose and it would probably slide all over the place as it hangs from a keychain.

Keep these links coming guys, I love to read these tidbits!  Thanks!

You everbuying spammer! Wink

On a serious note, one of the reviews on DX says the AA one is less bright than the Romisen RC-G2. Isn't the Hugsby brighter than the RC-G2?

Because the RC-G2 concentrates its beam more than just about any other AA light, it isn't easy to say short of putting them in a lightbox. I don't care for the G2 - have had two and gave both of them away. The throw numbers for the Hugsby are more than any other AA light on NiMH that I've come across. On total output the Hugsby is within 1% of the Trustfire R5-A3 which has an XP-G emitter in it.

This one might compete with the G2 on throw though. I've not measured a G2 as I've never kept one long enough to get round to it.

Another nice little light

Hope it isn't as green as the pics. Looks like a green LED in it.

Pity about the engraving - Chinese style doesn't work for me.

Isn't that the same one on Lightake that supposedly has the R5 in it?
