BLF X6-SE: accessories

I thought I’d make a separate thread rather than post in the massive BLF X6-SE thread and discuss what kind of accessories can be used/fit with the BLF X6-SE. Feel free to add to it.

Below is a picture of what I’ve got in hand that works well with this light.

From left to right, with a slight detour to the top:

- Ultrafire C2/C8 holster from FT . I bought four more of these, but it probably wasn’t a great idea. It does look a bit too big for it. However, it does cover the whole lot

- Ultrafire C2-Series Nylon Flashlight holster from DX . Unfortunately it’s out of stock there (direct link). It might be called something else somewhere on the interwebs. Fits really well even with the stock lanyard installed

- Beam diffuser from FT . Turns your light into a lantern. Also makes your CW tinted light a little bit more neutral

If I can find any more of my holsters that fits this light, I’ll post it up here. Especially if I can find a store link of it.

Thank you for sharing. I am using this case from Fasttech. It’s a decent fit and it easily slides in and out of it, but the head is slightly wider than the flap of the case.

I still looking for a better case though…one that is a nice snug fit but offers a little more protection.

I’m planning on making a leather holster for this light, if it comes out good, I might even make extras for sale.

I use a Solar Force P60 Holster—The fit is really good and they are readily available at my house

This one from BangGood looks like it would cover the head well. Does anyone have one to try it out?

Could you possibly show us a picture with the light in it?

Here you go

Thanks chops728, it looks like a great fit.

I have that diffuser and a couple similar. More light comes out forward than does in other directions, because not all the light is scattered. The light that is not scattered is slightly focused, apparently by the curved shape. The scattering is apparently by small particles with a different refractive index or metallic. These scatter short wavelength light more than long, like the sky or cigarette smoke. So the forward light is warmer. The sideways light might be cooler.

RBD. I think that holster will be way to big. I have a similar one from IOS that is no longer stocked and it disappears in it.

Nice! How do I get one? PM if you like mate

I ordered the cone diffuser, thanks

Diffusers are very hard to use in my opinion .they are WAY too bright and impossible to look at .If you think you want one of these 2" or the 6" wand diffusers. Simply take a piece of paper towel wrap it around the head and fold over the top ..toilet paper will give you the same effect . ...impossible to use unless it's behind you ,above below or shaded .

I was given lots of these 6" wands a long time ago and there is only one way to use them imho and thats to after putting the difuser on then sticking the light under a normal lamp shade or further blocking the glare from your eyes . the diffuser then becomes like a light bulb .

how anyone uses a bad lantern is beyond me .

One of the best ways to diffuse led lights is still to put material onto the lens .

The head is same size as the olight I-6 but the reflector is deeper ..setting eagle eye reflector on the xml in the olight still doesn't cure the green tint of the olight light so it's not all about reflectors as some people have claimed . The sexy Eagle Eye head makes a pretty frankenstein light on top of the olight body but it would take a hack saw , lots guts and some JB weld to make it work.

Wonder if it fits in the large jetbeam case ?

I agree, these cone diffusers are still way to bright to look directly at. But I still do like using them. I jus usually hang the light above me or behind me.
But what I find best is simply wrapping the light with colored construction paper. I use a light tan cream color makes nice warm tiny

This is from selfbuilt’s very awesome, 3/4*AA Round-up Review he posted over in CPF. It is about using a Butler Creek Blizzard flip-open scope cover as a diffuser. This can be applied to the BLF X6-SE along with any other light that has a suitable sized head.

I just got a few of these headbands in last week and used them with this light and they worked great in my opinion

Thanks for all of the above comments regarding a “perfect” holster for our X6 SEs.

I’m still looking for a link to an available “perfect fit” holster. Still no success, and don’t want to spend away the bargain of the light to do trial-and-error holster buying.

I’ll await and see.
