KRONOREVIEW:

The Odepro HEX60 (oddly labeled HEX61-2014) is a single 18650 flashlight with a single XM-L2 U2 emitter. The flashlight comes with a standard, no-frills lanyard, 2 extra o-rings, and a little tub of lube/grease. It is shipped with ample protection in a sturdy cardboard box. Light is controlled with a tailcap reverse clicky. There are 5 modes (L/M/H/Strobe/SOS) and it has last mode memory. It has a brass bezel, AR lens and OP (orange peel) reflector.

HIGH-LIGHTS:

Sturdy, 2 piece construction. Body is one piece, tailcap is ‘cork’ style.
Double sided AR Glass lens.
Hex shape is interesting and provides anti-roll feature.
HA-III matte black coating.
Reverse polarity protection (confirmed).
Pleasant beam pattern with a smooth transition from corona to spill.
Ample tailcap threads.
Fits un-protected and some shorter, un-protected 18650s.
Cutouts on tailcap also allow for use with gloves.
Reverse clicky with half-press advance.
Comes with extra O-rings, grease, English and Chinese instructions.
Last mode memory.

LOW-LIGHTS:

No hidden blinkies. (High/Medium/Low/Blinkies/Turbo/SOS).
One lanyard hole.
Will not tailstand due to bulbous switch cap.
Little to no thread lube (but grease provided in little tub).
Could use some knurling for grip.
1 amp on High…Way too low!

SUMMARY

There is no doubt that this is a solidly built light by Odepro. Quality HA-III matte black anodization, chunky brass ‘pill’, AR lens…overall a decent light. But why? I don’t quite understand the light. It is a bit pricey, and WAY underpowered at a paltry 1 amp. UI is solid with last mode memory. Nice box, standard lanyard, extra O-rings and tub of grease are nice. Overall a decent light, just doesn’t have much appeal.

KRONOMETER patented rating: 3.25 out of 5.

Krono is that your house?look like from some horror movie

huh. I reviewed the XP-G2 brinyte version and they look identical, but have totally different internals. Go figger.

i like its design…. and thank you for the review
