How to remove emitters from board?

Does anyone have a method for removing MC-E emitters from a board? I have a set of surplus MC-E emitters mounted on a custom plate and would like to remove them to transfer onto a standard star board. One of the emitters has been de-domed, so I have been trying to remove it without success before moving on to the good emitters.

try a heat gun with the small nozzle attachment...should work

A soldering iron with a large tip held underneath or you can put them on an electric stove burner and push with tweezers.

I have a glass-top non-inductive electric range. Will that be sufficient to remove the emitter?

That should do the trick just be careful not to burn yourself.

Thanks E1320! That worked great... I was able to lift the emitters from the board successfully by heating it up on the stove. Next step, I'll order the star boards and drivers and test the individual emitters. I'm hoping that at least three of them will be functional. Then it will be time to decide what to do with them.

I am glad I could help:)
