The link was sent to me by another member. It might be a good host for an MT-G2. I have not ever looked at one, but the lens looks like AR coating to me. If the pill is solid, it mught be a good one.

If I remember correctly, Simon did mention that he is working on new Convoy L2 last month.
Thing is Convoy is a brand, that brands all kind OEM products from factories with the Convoy name.
For the $20 price tag and in stock in the USA you could but it and mod it befroe Santa arrived 
I cant post pictures in this forum for some reason, but I was at my local Home Depot and they have 3C Defiant Flashlights for $16 bucks. They are 3C with a 48mm Optic and side button.
2 Protected and IMR 26650 cells fit perfect inside the diameter of the light. The heatsink is typical screw out. I purchased it just to recycle the Optic but for those looking for a 2*26650 host that would be perfecto.

^ Although that is good info on the Defiant, it doesn't come close to comparing to this light. Mostly due to the 66mm head which means much more reflector surface and heat sinking.
Do you have a DST? If you do could you check to see if the battery tube fits the DST? If it does, will you post that it does in this thread?

This thing, shipped to Australia is US$46.81. If I change the shipping destination to the US, price comes down to US$19.36. That is definitely a good price!

Wow great find, looks exactly like the Dipper D19 and it is even cheaper than a Y3 if used as a MT-G2 host…

While I havent thrown one together yet, the battery tube from this light screws directly into the DST, which should work well for 2 x 26650. The factory DST tube wont accept these chunky cells. You can still find the legendary DST on ebay fairly reasonably, and RIC carries the AR lens. It looks fairly descent with the gold tube/black head combo, and you gain a tail clicky.

You sure about that the tube fitting? I think I tried that combo once and thought they matched too, but Ohaya pointed out the threads were different. When I looked closer, there did have different thread patterns. Pretty sure it was the light you linked to above.
Sorry about continuing the derailing of your thread O-L. I think the that host in the OP will be a real nice with an MT-G2. If I didn't have so many similar lights, I would definitely be in.
