Hi guys, where can I buy 4 xhp50 12volts maybe neutral tint mounted in 20mm copper star? And another question; Can I drive four of them 12volts in parallel with 4 × 18650 in series? Thanks

Hi Chang,

I have a few 12V boards I can install XHP50s on. I would not suggest direct driving them on 4 cells though. I do that sometimes with XHP70s, but that would probly drive 50s a bit too hard. If you used a resistor to drop a little of the voltage it would be ok.

For the XHP70, has anyone actually measured the current from power source (not the LED, would it differ though?) when it’s luminosity at maximum, 4022lm or close to that? I assume it’s more than 2.4A, which the datasheet says.
