I’m sure a lot more buyers would feel less nervous about taking the plunge if they accepted Paypal.

There should be an additional column stating whether or not the seller has a separate PayPal e-mail like Simon does.

What constitutes a “Trusted” dealer/store? For instance when I go to your link for KnifeBase Inc I see a lot of Name Brand knives at very low prices. Does “Trusted” mean you can reasonably trust those are the real deal knives?

This is chinese market, trusted dealer means you will get your products you order or you can trust that the product will be delivered.

Wholesale Electronics Store – used them to buy cells. I believe one of the lowest prices for bulk (> 4 cells) purchases. They did get one of my orders wrong, but it was quickly rectified with a refund.
Shenzhen Convoy Electronics – Simon’s Convoy store. Good prices on Convoy branded lights. Has a lot of tint options available.
5Star Trading – used them to purchase phone/tablet cases. Quick shipping, good quality and comparable prices to other similar stores.

The aliexpress doesn't accept paypal. but some sellers do.

It will be an off-line business. You can message and ask them if they accept PP.

Has anyone dealt with AliExpress’s Order Dispute system? I am having to go through it now because Convoy sent me a gray S2+ instead of a black one.

It really depends on the seller, not the person who's arbitrating your case.

A case which I lost, but clearly should have won, was when I bought some replacement ink.  Long story short, blacks weren't black, it showed clearly in the print-outs I took pictures/scanned, yet the seller "won".  I had to send back the ink at my cost in order to get any sort of refund.  The person handling the case was blind to see that the sellers' claims were not true.

The other cases, it was the sellers who capitulated when I told them they did something wrong like send the wrong item.  I mentioned previously of when a seller sent me the completely wrong backpack and tried to fix it with sending me "$5-8 worth of goods" from his store.  I basically told him to screw his offer and refund me half the cost of the bag and let me keep it.  I didn't want to send the bag because they know that postage to them from other countries (US, UK, Australia, all of Europe) would not be financially feasible.  So at the end of the day, when you've received the wrong order, the best outcome would usually be you keep the item with only a partial refund.

Thank you, Simon!

Shipped Dec 23, 2014 Received Jan 8, 2015 Smile
Packaging was great, everything came in a nice box to protect the item. Very clean — each came in its own sealed package. Very professional.

Highly recommended!

My post is now edited with links inserted. Smile

Also found out that some of these stores are no longer selling the items I bought from them a year ago.
