BLF Thrunite Saber 1A

I purchased a BLF Thrunite Saber as part of a group buy. I normally carry a 1 AAA edc, and have not used the Saber. I decided to test it with an Eneloop and see how long it would run on high. After about 30 minutes it got almost too hot to hold. I wonder if that amount of heat will damage the light? I turned it off for about a minute or less and it cooled off.
Thanks,
Jerry

nope, no problem at all.

Thanks, I suspected that would be true, but needed to get the expert opinions.

ADDED: I only got 1 hr of usable light from an eneloop on high. Will try it on medium.
Interestingly enough I found that neither the Duracell ion core or the Tenergy would fit inside the light.
That’s a bummer.
