Anyone have one?

great light!

(u got PM)

I ordered one from Banggood. It is one of the few I have seen lately with a low firefly mode. If it is as good as I hope, I will order a couple more. Thanks for the reply and help.

Jerry

I got the L10 today, and am well pleased. It is about the size of my 4 Sevens Quark mini AA. The firefly mode is loooooow. It is what I was hoping it would be. I may order another. Looking for a code.

Jerry

This is very similar to the L3 Innovations L10. Probably comes from the same factory.

They are available in 3 or 4 mode with cool XPG2 or Nichia 219. I had a few, but sold them. Nice lights.

Note, there is a clicky version available but it has a lot of reliability issues.

Thanks, Gunga,
Although many like a clicky, I have come to prefer the twisty for small lights. The clicky makes it a little longer, and somehow I feel like the twisty is more solid. I may be wrong on that, however.

One thing that is a con is that the mid mode is 80 lm, and is stated to run 2hrs 25 min. I wish it were more nearly 25 –35 with a longer run time. Firefly mode: 0.09 lumens runs 147hours. I like that. I don’t intend to test that.

The 4 mode L10 is moonlight - 3 30 120 lumens. Very nice…

About right.
I took those figures off a light on eBay. However, Banggood indicates the following.
147h(firefly),13h(low),1h30min(h)

I have it on now on low, and we’ll see. I hope the Banggood figures are correct.

After looking at the literature that came with the light that I received today and found that the longest run time, excluding the firefly, is 2 hours 25 minutes, I decided to contact Bang Good and request that they cancel my new order and refund to PayPal.

I really liked the feel and size of the light, but run times are not acceptable for a AA light. Especially when my Terralux 100 single AA on the low 50 lumen mode runs for 9 hours 25 minutes with Eneloops, and 12 hours 9 minutes with Tenergy Premiums. Hard to believe, but I do tell time pretty well, and those are the numbers.

Oh Well. “We win some and lose some.”

XP-G though :~

Must be an echo around here…

My two are original L3 Illumination versions from SB flashlight. I have the XP-G2 and 219 4 mode versions and they have been absolutely fantastic and among the most used lights in my collection. I do know at one point there was some confusion over crappy drivers being substituted. Both mine use nice, efficient, constant current drivers with no trace of PWM on any mode.

Right now on the table next to me I have the SF5 which I usually carry, and the burnt orange L10 XP-G2 sitting next to it as a backup. It has a lower moonlight and sometimes I prefer it. Both my L10s have seen lots and lots of real world use, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. SB Flashlight is good to deal with also.

Appreciate the BG link Jerry (http://www.banggood.com/ACEBEAM-L10-CREE-XP-G-R5-4Modes-120lm-Mini-EDC-LED-Flashlight-p-950184.html)

Used the BLF CC and it brought it down to $15.62. I’m impressed with the long run times as well, I find that highly useful.

Question though on the battery; BG specs say AA/14500 but the working voltage is listed as 1.5V. If this is similar to the L3 Illumination L10 linked above then that link states this:

*Uses one 1.5V AA battery (ni-mh, alkaline ). 14500 batteries are not recommeded, because they heat up quickly.

Thoughts on this? Either way it looks like an excellent light.

I agree. For a ‘tactical’ light the clicky is obviously very useful, but these lights aren’t really intended for that roll. They fulfill the EDC roll very well and for that intended purpose a twisty is a better option. Much less chance of it turning on accidentally in the pocket and thus running your battery down/out for when you need it. I carry an EDC sling pack that has a couple of clicky tactical lights in case I need them, but for the pocket this is a really nice light. Looking forward to getting it.

Hi Dave,
I am turning it off for the night. It has run 17 hrs thus far. As to a 14500 I almost never try one. I am using an EBL NIMH. Using a li-on causes the light to get too hot to hold, at least that is what I have found using other lights. Except for the WOW factor I have never arrived at a reason to use them.

I am sure that tomorrow will end the run time with this battery, and I am interested in what it will be.
So far I am favorably impressed, especially at the cost.
Regards,
Jerry

Just ordered some Eneloop AA’s for this light so I won’t plan on using 14500’s in it. So you’ve got 17 hours so far on the middle mode which, according to BG stats, is low mode. If Firefly mode is 0.09 lumens, what do you think this middle ‘low’ mode is? The ebay link in your OP says middle mode is 80 lumens for 2.25 hours so that’s clearly incorrect. The BG stats are 13 hours on low (which you’ve surpassed by a good margin) but doesn’t list the lumens at this mode. The SB version has low at 3 lumens and medium at 30 lumens.

I’m curious what the middle (low) mode is on this light?

When I finish with the run time I will compare it in that mode with some other lights that state their mode values. It is not 80 lm, but closer to 30. I’ll call back when I can make some kind of estimate.
I think Gunga on post 6 has probably the right values for his light.
Jerry

Well 17+ hours, in the neighborhood of 30 lumens, on a single AA is pretty incredible.

As it turns out the lo mode is only about 10 lm. However, when one has his night eyes that is a lot of light. I wish it were more like 20 - 30, but it is what it is. The run time is unbelievable, but here it is.
L10 Mid 10lm EBL 43hrs 45mi.
I am running an Eneloop to see how much difference there is. I am finding that the EBL has a high capacity, but don’t think it will hold its charge for long. I will find out in a month.
Jerry

Very nice!
