The WakaWaka is nice. I have the ‘power’ version with the larger capacity battery. They were designed for use in Africa and claim 2 hours of light for every 1 hour of charge. Mine was 70 bucks though. Also be aware that most people who use these types of devices suffer from expectation issues, which is almost good because most of these units drastically overstate their capacity. So what happens is you’ll be lucky to get 50% charge from a whole day in the [summer] sun on a unit that’s probably 1/3 to 1/4 the capacity it claims to be. Which is still plenty OK fine for an emergency, but not usually in line with people’s expectations. I figure every watt of power it absorbs from the sun is one less watt I have to pay for from the grid.
Edit: Photos go here if I get my act together today. Otherwise the WakaWaka is easy to find on Amazon or with the Google machine.
