I ordered a bunch of them……but have not received them despite the order marked as shipped and a tracking number entered in the system. Well the tracking number must be bogus, because I got this message from the seller:
“I am sincerely sorry to trouble u,there are some problem with our systerm.the listing price was wrong, could you please help me to cancel it ?also, could you please help me to choose the cancel reason to these following: such as:purchase the wrong item or the other reason, since if you choose the reason for seller’s mistake,if we agree,we will be punishment by aliexpress ,thanks for your kind help.dear”
its a nice looking light, but something i will never do is strap Lithium Ion or lithium Polymer cells to my head.
All my headlights i use are AA or AAA powered.
At this point you can no longer cancel since it’s marked as shipped. If your tracking doesn’t work, all you can do is dispute and get your money back. The seller still gets a ding on his point but I guess he does deserve it for falsifying shipment.
It is the sellers responsibility to insure their items are listed and priced correctly. Mistakes happen but anybody who relies solely on the “system” is going to have problems. I have seen this happen on many occasions and it will continue to happen unless there are consequences and sellers begin verifying thier listings.
Pulsar13 is correct the best course of action is to open a dispute and get a refund. Leave whatever remarks or cause of action that you feel is appropriate and the seller will be less likely to rely on “our system” next time.
I had the exact same scenario with this headlamp and this seller. I tried to cancel but was told the item had already been shipped. Turned out that the tracking number was fake (Finland Post Hong Kong). I opened a dispute and was refunded in due course. Lesson learnt.
Same here. Same seller, same item, same bogus claim of shipment with fake tracking number. I’m certain they did this so I would not even have the chance to cancel the item as they requested, so there would be no risk of my claiming it was due to their mistake and not mine. They will refund your money shortly after you open the dispute, and the transaction will be over. You can leave a message for the seller (I did) but I doubt they care, and I don’t think there’s any negative impact to them.
It’s happened to me a few times. They give you a fake tracking number, tell you lies, ect. After starting a dispute, Aliexpress ends up giving you your money back instead of making them ship your order. They also don’t give you the option of leaving feedback so others can know about the sellers actions.
The last orders that went south were canceled by Aliexpress themselves. They sent me emails like this: “Your order # has been frozen due to suspicious seller activity”. Then they refunded my money and closed the sellers store. Look at my post above yours, click the links for a good laugh.
Same experience with same item and same message…
I start thinking they do this to increase number of orders of the shop…
Last time i cancelled the order… next time i will wait…
