GearBest Shipping methods?

I am going to be placing my first order with GearBest and see they have three flat-rate options.

Auto(Free) SingPost ( $0.39) Netherlands Post ( $0.99)

I'm on the east coast of the US and china post(assuming that's Auto) takes about 2 weeks to arrive in San Francisco then another 2-3 weeks to be deliverd.
I read SingPost is the absolute slowest to the US.
And I don't know much about Netherlands Post.

What have your experiences been like with each of these services? To the East Coast of the US?

I have to say that every time I have mark Auto Free, they have send it with Netherlands,or Singapore Post, never with China post.
So my advice is just AUTO and they will chose the best.

Netherlands post is usually slowwwww for me

Just choose auto. They’ll pick shipping by random anyway. Happened to me twice, and had to complain just to get my money back. That means going back and forth and getting pissed hearing with “don’t worry they’re all the same, you’ll get your package” over and over.

So just avoid the hassle and pick the auto.

They basically told me the same thing, every method is basically the same.

Guess I'll go auto and get the $2 tracking.

Thank you everyone. :D

I was told to place TWO orders, so i could use both codes… as i could only use one code per order… so i did… i placed 2 orders, like, 5 minutes apart… maybe 10 minutes apart, tops.

i chose “standard” like this thread suggested. I am east coast united states…

one package? went out DHL… my tracking number on my GB account page worked on a tracking site… i was amazed i have been waiting a matter of several DAYS, and was amazed to see a phone text saying “delivery expected tomorrow”… 5 remote switches and three hosts (sivern’s “worthy zoomie” group buy) arrived without my signing (awesome) wrapped in a knotted shut plastic bag, tied securely to my mailbox post. i LIKE DHL now, lol… (UPS throws packages like a football over the hill, into the weeds, to be found weeks later sitting in the jagger bushes in rain)

the other package? went out “royal mail”… tracking number is “unknown” to royal mail tracking page, though it is in the correct format of their numbers… i have no way to track it, and dont know when, or even “if” it will arrive.

=

2 orders, 10 minutes apart… one here from china in record time, a matter of DAYS (not even a whole week i dont think)… and the other? i really have no idea.

=

oh well… if i could use this DHL every time? i would obviously be pretty dang excited to use gearbest for all future flashlight purchases…

===

the “mystery royal mail” package? naturally thats the one with the two complete flashlights, so i can actually take them to work and PLAY with them, lol… trust me here, i have well over TWELVE 18650s sitting and waiting to put in it to play with it, lol

NP Always takes the longest time for me.

Yes I also think NP takes longest time. instead you can go for AUTO or else visit the site.

NP is a hit and miss that Gearbest cannot control. Even their tracking is a PITA. I have always done better with SP.

I thought Singpost was the slowest, then I got a package via SP in under 3 weeks (fastest ever). Now I believe any can be fast or slow, just depends on who’s container gets filled first. I have always gone with auto/no track. Tracking can only slow a package since it’s an extra processing step or two at every ‘tracked’ location. I’m currently waiting for my first package shipped via SwedenPost (coming up on 1 month).

I wonder sometimes how it can take 3 week’s as I assume most item’s would be sent by air, maybe a few days held up in customs at either end.

I hate waiting for thing’s to come, you would think they would give better shipping options to get more business.

Packages often spend up to a week, sometimes even more(in case of unregistered mail) in sorting/departing hubs waiting for their batch to be arranged and shipped.

Ive seen this happening with SWE post registered, where packages will spend up to a week in sorting/outward departing hub and then get shipped to me.

They probably collect all packages that go the same route and then ship them in bulk which makes sense because it saves money to send say full cargo of packages to single destination hub rather than each and every package individually, unless you pay for UPS or DHL courrier delivery which gets processed the same day and shipped out of country either the same or early next day.

It depends on the type of item ordered. For example, batteries and knives are restricted items that a lot of shippers won’t ship. For shipping to Canada shippers have to go a roundabout route through Swedish or Nord Post. Often they have to fudge the item description. Transporting lithium cells on airplanes is dangerous stuff.

I placed an order March 7th, and the shipping number doesn’t work. So i contacted customer service via email and they keep saying don’t worry it’s coming, but also there is no shipping number for my package so there’s is no way to track it, AT ALL. I stressed to them that I need one because it’s crazy how it’s about to be APRIL and I still have not gotten it, I really want what I paid for. I really hate this. They said 10-15 business days, I’ve waited basically this whole month, where is it? I feel like I’ve been ripped off! What do I do because I still want the product….

Don’t feel bad, I’m still waiting for my order from Feb 14th and they say I have to wait until April 14th

Same here, I ordered a S2+ on Feb 14, no sign of yet and they’re telling me to wait until April 15th. Meanwhile I got a bunch of Banggood stuff in 3 weeks.

Same here … waiting for a Convoy S2+ UV ordered 2/17/17.

Gearbest stated that it might take up to 35 working days to receive my order.

Great deals to be had … trade off is the wait.

Yup, I learned my lession with gearbest - with anyone else free shipping is fast enough, but with them I pay the extra $2 for the faster shipping option.

Same here as well.

Still waiting for the order I placed on Feb 13th. Lesson learned here.

I’ve had NL post take close to two months before. Product went on a sight seeing trip through Europe and Turkey of all places, on it’s way to Michigan. Of course it had to stop and rest in NY for two weeks before finally making it to Michigan.
