Places to buy trits (tritium) vials?

Does anyone know of any places to buy tritium vials from? In the 1.5-2mm x 5-6mm sizes?

Can’t seem to find many places and either too pricey, wrong sizes or only a single vial at a time.

Thanks.

They certainly are pricey little things. Unless I’m reading it wrong that is only for one vial. £5.50/$8

Not sure you can do much with one. Guess you’d need at least 5 to make use of them. But $40 for five tiny little vials……

not sure how banggood will transport them.

if they’re going with their black bag with thick foam… i think the foam would crack em like glowsticks

I hope they come in some container or something

Ta.

Might have to think about this a little harder. I assumed I’d be able to buy something like a pack of 10 trits for say $20 or so.

Seems this is way off. Even at $7/each that is a lot of money to get enough to really do anything interesting.

Looking over at CPF I see someone claims 51 trits in a single Ti light.

Betting CPF prices were higher than $7/trit. But even so that’s $357 just for the trits!!!!!!

Try Mixglo.com. That’s my source.

Thanks.

Have to say I’d totally misjudged the pricing on these.

It certainly seems “bling” does cost. Maybe I’m just too budget minded though.

Four of the 1.5mmx6mm vials is $30 with shipping. And people are claiming $24 for the 1504 host is too expensive in another thread on here.

Overall I think I’d rather spend $30 on another entire torch rather than 1” worth of glowing tube that might only last 5-8 years.

I saw bow sights that look like they might work at dunhams for about $20. You'd have to cut them down but if they glow.... Fake Budget trits?

Search Isotope|R40&_nkw=isotope on .bay. cheapest i’ve seen is £3.25 for 1.5×6mm and £3.99 for 2×6mm but sometimes you get batches for cheap. Just don’t bid against me eah.. Wink

lol this is the exact reason I am not the least bit interested in trits, and part of the inspiration for my lighted tailcap.

They look cool, but that price is an instant turn-off.

Trits are like an attractive woman that belches and swears.

looks good, but no thanks. :Sp

I justify the purchase to myself by dividing the initial cost by ten (years they last approx) then it’s not very much at all.
The swearing comes when i bust one during the installation.

No container or something, just a bubble wrap envelope and the trit is in a small thin bag.

Light up the darkness.

I like them but they do cost a lot. I’ve broken a few and that adds up fast!!
