I got a halogen version of this light from the 99 Cents Only store. It's worth 2 x $.99 I say...
The beam brightness reminds me of my 2xAA minimag. It's not the brightest. The molded plastic body is crooked ($.99 store reject?). It's too small for my nimh's so alkies only. It's hard to figure out which way to put the batteries cuz the polarities are written on the removeable bottom thingy. The switch is dicey and hard to get it to stay at full brightness. About the only thing saving this light from my 45acp is it's rotating, pivoting head. The clip is a bit "loose" so it may slide off certain surfaces when clipped upside down.
Anyway, perhaps I should finally get around and look for a 6 or 7v bulb and try it with 14500s. Cuz like I mentioned, the pivoting/rotating part is cool.
