the new Olight M3X-UT Javelot discussion and interest thread

A 1 to 1200-lumen, rear power and side mode switch, 250kcd stock thrower ?

This configuration and claimed performance is quiet appealing to me.

Will this light interest you too?

Oh yes! It interests me greatly

I am in the process of finding out everyone’s opinion and interest on this light. My crystal ball is showing some signs of activity about its availability very soon.

Well, all depends on its total weight , lenght and final cost: 250k cmds isnt that hard to beat, we already have 1504 that does easy 330k with a dedomed V5( and it costs like 45$ in total)

M2X UT is a great fl btw- balanced price , throw and weight

Yes, you are right in that regard about modded lights easily attaining that, but to us non-modders, this can be an interesting, out-of-the box thrower of high quality, factory-dedomed performance and with still perhaps some modding potential to modders.

I have both M2X javelot and M20SX javelot. They are awesome throwers. But I do not want to go even bigger (and longer).

We had a similar discussion over on Reddit and Calvin from Illumn.com was told that there was a delay from the manufacturer and that they’re not expected to ship out until late May. I know a few people itching to get their hands on one.

i see gearbest open presale for this light

This seems interesting. Any idea about pricing? I have a feeling it might be out of my league :frowning:

Well, since we are in here its not a problem for anybody to get his hands on a modded and good quality light, just ask Richard or Tom E or some other modder

But yes, thats Olight…150$ is reasonable, only 260 grams( on average 350 with batteries)…21sm lenght…sounds interesting

250k cds too

As long as its powered by 2x18650 it should say in regulation pretty long

I just want a M2X-UT host, i will just throw away all the stock light engine anyway. I just want it as a nice step up from the Jacob A60.

To bad Olight don’t do hosts :frowning: someone please correct me if i am wrong.

So for now i can just hope that some Jacob A60 clone maker, will decide to release a M2X-UT Javelot clone for a budget price, buying flashlights for over 100$, just to get the host is way to expensive to get the M2X-UT for some modding adventures.

Especially now that we have the UF-1405/1504 host for a very good price, that will easily out throw the M2X-UT or the M3X-UT when modded for a third of the price.

For a little bit more than the M3X-UT at $150, you can get the $180 M25C2 Turbo and with its 92mm’s head it should out throw all of those when modded

but ET lights are always sold at listed price……and if you are outside of the USA, shipping is another big deal-breaker

Good point about outside of US shipping, it would make it a lot more expensive for such an heavy light.

Yeah, it beats the M3X-UT by just a little bit  . This is Vinh’s mod as tested by jmpaul:
Eagle Tac M25C2vn Turbo head XML2 PDT
Sony vtc5
1257@ turn on
1175@ 30 sec
814 high
578 mid
170 low
53 low2
Throw - 580,000 lux (And the XPG2 versions does 775000 lux)

That’s about 300k lux more, huge difference!

Anyone knows the throw of a stock M25C2 Turbo, and after dedome?

I think that soon M3X UT discount codes would immerge, i presume the FL would be at arround 100$…150$ isnt that competive price especialy on other offers arround

For easy carry we already have M2X Ut( at lovely price atm) plus 10+ options, there are many nice and cheap longer versions too: like M24 sniper: an easy dedome would give you 175k and 2x would give you 260k for under 80$

Wow 775kcd that is even more than i though it would be doing.

And that is with the DriverVN, a single mode version and that is how i would want to build it, would most likely go past 800kcd…….crazy just crazy  to bad I can’t afford it :frowning:
But who knows, if there don’t pop up some cheaper way to get to 700-800kcd in the coming months, this could be it.

But i think all of those option’s is really to little improvement over the Jacob A60 to make it worth it, anyway i hope some budget light manufacturer decides to do a big reflector light on the cheap, the more expensive light manufacturers seems to release more & more of these lights, so i hope the take notice.

Maybe Courui could do one with a bigger reflector for example, the D01 seems to have sold well, so fingers crossed

The proiblem with A60 is that i have never ever found a good one, and their main issues are durty or damaged reflector. Plus, various other issues too
If you know any good enough A60 or A60 clone or copy pls alarm us
They said Y3 is bad but i got like 10 Yezls, they are all way better that those 3 pcs of A60s that i bought from Ali

I see GB has A60 for 11$, but i dont know how good or bad is it

I just started to experiment with the Jacob A60, or should i say Jing Ge A60 as the Ali version now calls it self.

For the most part the only thing i have heard here is solid praise for what the Jacob A60 can do both stock & when modded.
The most complaints i have seen is of the crap glass lens they used though & it really are crazy bad it looks dirty even when cleaned, but that is easily replaceable.

So you say you get better kcd from the Yezl Y3 than the Jacob A60, it is almost twice the cost but i does have an aluminium reflector instead of plastic like the A60.

What size is the reflector on the Y3? i have always thought that the A60 is unbeaten for the price in throw.

And GB’s Jacob A60 is out of stock, as far as i know the only ones available is the Jing Ge A60 from Ali.
