Balder BD-4, BD-2 and BD-1

They are out on CNqualitygoods!

Looks damn good, but also pretty expensive.

Warranty is same as Fenix.

How to switch modes? And does it come with mode memory?

I think most if not all of these lights come with mode memory. The only light that does not come with memory is Xeno E03 and my DRY (DRY is not the same ballpark actually as that's OEM).

Change modes by the button switch of course. Not sure if its reverse or forward clicky.

BD-4 is a little high, otherwise the prices are slotted at the same level as the Jetbeam BA/BC series which is what most people expected. If the quality matches or is better than the Jetbeam, it will be a good buy. I do like the looks better.

If they perform as good as they look, Group buy for all three???

And -hooray- the LACK of flashy modes is used as a selling point.

Bought the BD-4. But no DHL this time, $26.50 for DHL. So no fast review. heh.... DHL is 1-day for me here in SG/SIN. But sometimes registered Air Mail is pretty fast (1 week), sometimes slow like hell (3-4 weeks).

Prices are about what I figured and I'll pass. They fill a certain niche though. Because of the design, I'd only be interested in the models that are L2 (18650 obviously) sized and bigger. For some reason they just don't seem appealing as a smaller light. I prefer my AA and AAA lights to be minimalist in design.

Nice looking lights. However there is nothing exciting about them to warrant a purchase from me.

 Don't know what they have, but... I like that futuristic look :p H-M-L, NiMh and li-ion compatibility, HA-III  Waiting that review, mate. ($34 BA10 @ MF. Damn, wish it work with li-ion :( )

you can save 5 bucks with only 5 members in group buy

I just read a thread on CPF that stated these were not glued (easy to mod) and may be available with neutral tints.....yummm.

I wonder if these have memory and if it is implemented well. Seems like that would be key on a multi-mode forward clicky.

Damn! Oh well, i have quite too many NW lights already. And seriously one major point is due to the hard driven U2 emitter and 60mm head diamter, and 99.99% certified to be U2 (don't think they will pull a stunt). Unless i am paying for cutter, there is no way of confirming whether the DX or Sky Rays are really U2 etc....

Anyway these are supposed to be controlled list prices. This is one reason why i only stick to 2-3 sources for my lights, better prices/service.

BD-1 and 2 look to be well priced , look forward to seeing some reviews ..

Quite affordable if you only buy a few lights a year ...

... or if you are a semibudget lights lover like me  I promise BD-1 will be my last light 0:)

My last light was about 20 lights ago ...... or was it 30 ????

I really have little need for more , it must all be WANT now !

Either demand is increasing or those were just introductory prices to gain interest because they've all went up in price

So it's make it so much easier (for me at least  ) - no Balder for me for that price

I just found out I was shipped a BD-2 for review. A BD-4 would have been awesome but I'm probably not the best choice for that since I have little experience with multiple 18650 lights and don't have any currenlty to do a comparison.
