Since there are several reviews of this light already on BLF and my good camera is on the fritz this is an abbreviated review

This is a general all purpose light that balances throw and flood, similar to its predecessor and the Convoy M1 (which i consider the reference of all purpose lights). There are a few improvements over its predecessor, the steel bezel is slightly crenulated, it has a removable anti roll collar under the tailcap and has a lens coating which may be AR coating. It is tailstandable with the same partial flat pattern as the first version of the VG10, which means its not completely stable but should work reasonably well. Like other Thorfire lights the driver is not removable (therefore not easily replaceable).

The previous light has a full review, which can be accessed here

The tailcap currents for this light are:

High 1520 mA or 1.52A 580 LED lumens (approx)
Medium 620 mA or 0.62A 260 LED lumens (approx)
Low 40mA or 0.04A 20 LED lumens (approx)
Moonlight 1mA or 0.001A 0.5 LED lumens (approx)

When changing modes the light goes High/Medium/Low/Moonlight which is counter intuitive (to me), This light does have mode memory. Mode changing is different then what we are used to on the 105C/Qlite, Its a forward clicky and you can change modes without turning it on then click all the way to keep it on that mode, or you can turn it on and the only way to change modes is to turn it off and on repeatedly to get the mode you want or use the forward clicky method i just mentioned.

I have had a few issues with the light flickering or not coming on at all, i don’t know the cause but extra tightening the anti roll collar helps about half the time.

Notice the bezel differences

Has all the extra parts you should need included which is a very nice touch

The Happy pamphlet, i think the title of the pamphlet is a bit too vague

Owners manual, if you right click view image its readable on screen

Nice review, thank you for posting. It’s good to read reviews about same light from different perspectives.
I find 1mA moonlight mode very interesting.

It is a good moonlight, i find modes can make or break a flashlight, there is one group buy light we all hate the driver of even though its a first class light
