A while ago I bought the Hugsby XP-1 and XP-2 (1*AAA and 2*AAA) and love them. But I thought it would be cool/useful to have similar lights that used AA batteries… So I did some Aliexpress research and found what appear to be 2 very similar lights to the XP-1 and XP-2 but using AA batteries.
In the photos in the links they are called XP-11 and XP-12 but the listing itself has no branding (I think that’s why these lights are cheaper than in other listings). Anyway I have ordered 1 of each to see what they’re like and just thought I’d share as I know some of you like the XP-1 and XP-2

Those look nice, I saw them on ebay for a bit more, it would be nice if they were priced like their AAA cousins, a little cheaper. I really like my XP-1, so much I ordered 4 more…

Looks like a brass ring with a spot of solder there, between the driver and the head?
Hard to tell anything about the emitter from the fuzzy picture.
Hm, foam ring over the driver, instead of a spring; reminds me of the old Arc flashlights.
When you get one would you measure the diameter of the driver? (wondering if the BLF SK68 driver will drop into that)
and photos of the pill, beam, and emitter for possible modding would be much appreciated.
I’m looking for something better — for modifying — than the existing AA zoomies (SK58, SK68, and #3)

As far as I remember the payment method was the same as any other product I’ve purchased off Aliexpress… May not be PayPal though 
I have really liked the 1 AAA version. I think I will try the AA. I give a lot away to elderly ladies in our church, and the AAA fits nicely in their purses. Maybe the AA won’t be too much larger.

THIS is single AA and has a clip but has 3 modes and is more expensive… I would contact the seller of the XP-11 and XP-12 and see if they have a clip they can swap the strap for
As far as I know you can’t screw two of these together to make a 3 AA light
I think the Hugsby P-31 would be an AA equivalent —and has some good reviews here.
If yoy like the look of XP-1 but want AA (or 14500), you should consider Hugsby P31. You can find it at Tomtop for 8.47 USD at Aliexpress. If you dont like Aliexpress Tomtop also have a shop at ebay 8.79

Only problem with P31 (which is in one of my links above) is it has 3 modes which includes an annoying strobe (correct me if I’m wrong) :zipper_mouth_face:
Does it open at the same spot as the XP-1?
And has anyone looked into the switch?
