I do not believe so. Maybe one or two support it in the auto coding, but I have not tested it.

HKJ, can you give us a bottom line thumbs up/thumbs down on that Xiaomi charger?

From the sidebar on that review Angerdan suggested, some topical info:

That is a thumbs up, but it has more ports than power.

Can you confirm the report from Chargerlab about having to plug, unplug, and plug in again to get the Apple charging protocols recognized?
http://chargerlab.com/2018/03/16/dismantling-the-xiaomi-mi-6-usb-port-fa...

How would a user be able to tell this recognition had happened correctly, without the “Power-Z” test device they used?

Quote:
during our first attempt, the charger didn’t support Apple protocols. However, after we unplug the cable and plug it again, it worked.

We tried charging our iPad …. However, we needed to unplug the cable for a couple times for the charger to work.

No, I did not notice any problem when testing, but i did not try with a IPad.

Was just browsing around in AliExpress and came across this:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/info/32863092690.html

(not sure if something like this has been reviewed before)

it's labeled "smart USB charger" appears to convert DC12-36v into 4-ports USB voltage (supports QC2/3) and also displays the current being supplied (like a USB meter).

Quote:

Product parameters:
Input voltage: DC 12-36V
Input interface: DC5.5*2.1 (notebook adapter can be directly inserted)
Output voltage and current:

    channel 1-3: QC2.0, fixed output 5V/1A-2.4A;

    channel 4: QC3.0, automatic output 5V/3.4A, 9V2.3A, 12V/1.5A
Maximum current: 8.5A
Maximum power: 45W
Product Size: 77.5*54*28MM
Product weight: 92.5g
Package include: 1pcs QC 2.0 3.0 Smart Charger (Not include the power supply)

I will take a look at it, but the specifications looks phony: QC2: 5V only, QC3: 5V, 9V, 12V that standard usb and QC2

I like to put this USB meter in:
https://aliexpress.com/item/T50N-Dual-USB-Spannung-strom-Power-Kapazit-t-Meter-unterst-tzung-QC2-0-QC3-0-PD/32835723725.html

It has a silver case, unusual futuristic display font and a lot of connectivity.

Hi HKJ,
I’d like a slim, small capacity powerbank, around 3-4000 mAh or so. I’m considering building recycling a smartphone lipo, but I’m also having a look to ready options… these two for example could be interesting, in case you are interested in reviewing them:

Hmm, just my opinion, regarding the low-cost small-capacity powerbanks,

I think there are too many such kinds it may not be possible to do that much “stringent” testing on them — low-cost unbranded items tend to not have that much quality control and while one batch may perform better, the next batch may easily change.. at least based on my experience of them. Just my 2 cents worth..

Actually, I have something that looks practically the same as your second link (the one here: https://www.gearbest.com/power-banks/pp_436972.html), someone passed it on to me (my relative got it as a “giveaway” souvenir from some club event).

The seller do not ship to Denmark (Shipping would probably be way to expensive anyway) and I could not find it on Aliexpress or Abay

Good list, I will definitely get some of the stuff on it. I have not decided how much yet.

The Tomo Epilot E4 is available from Gearbest (black is a few cents cheaper than white); maybe there’s a generic coupon code somewhere to bring down the price..

https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_1319856.html

I saw a cheaper price for the Epilot E4, but I’m not familiar with the following online store, and whether they ship or not…

While searching for the Tomo powerbanks, I came across other models too:

Tomo D2 (2× 26650) powerbank/charger:
https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_1524290.html (specs list the input current @ 1A ; it will take a long time to fully charge 2× 5000+ mAh 26650 with this powerbank…)

Tomo K2 powerbank/charger/flashlight (2×18650):

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5-c.w4002-18303632919.81.4649...
Specifically the LeTV QC3.0+MTKPE version (note: this is the YZXstudio store).

Finally there might be a quality MTKPE charger with at least 2A output at 12V.

EDIT:
This one seem even better, it offers the full 2.4A at 12V with MTKPE and you can even change the plug type:

Not a USB device but a 12V DC power adapter with UPS functionality using a standard 18650.

YZX usb meter is very good, but the price is too higher …
but RD (ruideng meter ) is cheaper and have more function.
for “UM24C” and “UM25C”: , it can support PC software and android APP, APP can support 21 kinds languages
and
APP and PC software can export data by excel. it is easy to research the data…

but YZX meter did not have ,
For UM34C, it support USB 3.0 and Quick charge recognition mode:QC2.0、QC3.0、APPLE 2.4A/2.1A/ 1A/0.5A、Android DCP、SAMSUNG, support support OPPO phone VOOC, OnePlus DASH
Though UM34C and UM25C have Type-c port , but there is not trigger, only support type-c charge, not recognition

although for data or some function, it is not better than YZX meter, but for the price , it is already best …
for USB load, there are many choice , LD25/LD35
If someone need more cheaper meter, but colorful display, there is also choice
AT34

Waiting for everyone to discuss …
