Help choosing a AAA EDC

I currently have these links open and I do not know which ones to choose. Budget would be subjective so if I believe the price justifies the light I wouldn’t mind. Tips and suggestions to other products will be considered as well. (Updated my picks)

Olight I3s

I saw the olight and I wasn’t impressed with the look of it. They look cheap.

I like the Maratacs (I have one in SS and copper), keep an eye on massdrop.com for them.
I also have a Thrunite Ti that I rotate in my EDC.

Depending on how you mean to carry your EDC light, you might want to ditch all 1xAA options in favour of 1xAAA ones, that are much slimmer and pocketable. AA lights will make a bulge in your pocket, while AAA ones will just sit together with pants’s folds. If you carry the light in cargo pockets, belt holster or bag, then no problem with AA or even 18650 lights.

That said, I have both the Lumintop Tool and the DQG mini AAA, and find the latter perfect to put in the coin pocket. The Tool is a very nice light too, but longer and thus will not fit in the coin pocket.

I like the fenix LD01, you should look at the Fenix LD02

Here, I made a picture to show you the difference, and included a standard SAK and medium sized hand for reference.

I would vote for the “DQG slim AAA” light that’s in the picture too. It is really small for a tail switch light, and even beats most popular twisty lights in size too. I’ve been EDCing one of those for some time now, and really like it because of the tiny size, tail switch and the SS material.

Aha but normally I carry a larger light in my bag. And I don’t utilise the coin pocket at all since I wanna carry it together with my keys. I really like the look of that SS Fenix

Thrunite are quite difficult to source for cheap and I didn’t buy the maratac-copper-aaa-flashlight because they don’t really appeal to me. I have seen the maratac on massdrop a couple times. I was there much longer than here lol. But I didn’t jump the gun

You mean this?

Looks different from the one at banggood

Edit: oh its the one at gearbest

I own an EA11 and a PD12 but found them to be quite fat

I have updated the OP with just the lights I’m interested in. Btw what’s the difference between the DQG AAA sold at GB vs the one sold at BG

This one is NOT a DQG (despite what Banggood says), it’s an unbranded Thorfire TS-07.
A very nice light btw.

Is the output reasonable?

My prefered:

I want a moonlight mode. I would really want something with a few modes to make it more versatile.

If possible, would you guys help me decide which light to get from the OP and the pros and cons for each one? I like the polished finish which is why I edited the OP to just polished lights

Wrathbringer27,

Twice the DQG slim clicky. (claims to be 140 lm, a Spanish guy says it’s about 120, you can find his review in the AAA flashlights section).
8+ hours on a NiMH on low (6-7 lm), gets too hot to touch after 20 minutes on Med and High.

Fenix E99 Ti is the best compromise between longevity and weight and output. has moonlight, is super bright.

Just note that the lenses of E99Ti, E05SS and the DQG's get scratched because they are made out of plastic.

Is there any glass lense I can replace the one on the E 99?
