Collapsible 2xAA flashlights

AFAIL, there’s not many flashlights in 2 AA configuration which are able to run in a single AA. Well maybe I am ill unformed but I can’t seem to find many. I have seen the thrunite neutron and the balder bd1-p the balder looks really nice! Does any one here knows of any collapsible 2 AA flashlight? I wanna keep some general lights in various places just in case  I wouldn’t mind if it can run on 150g too!

The old C3 lights are available with an extension tube for either 1x or 2x AA operation. Mine wasn't very good though, and they are outdated, and pretty generally poorly reviewed.

You mean the ultrafire C3?

Olight S15 Baton. Only issue is, performance is far superior on 2AA, so much so that is never run it on 1AA. It can run on a 14500. Performance is ok but runtime sucks.

Among other things, yes. Ultrafire C3.
In fact, there are other manufacturers who made C3 with same design.

This is a collapsible aaa light

Yes, the Ultrafire C3:

Keep in mind, I'm NOT recommending this light. It has the older XR-E emitter, and brightness is poor on a single AA cell, some better, on a 14500 or with 2x AA, but is still unimpressive. Some, mine included, also had poor connection issues, and were unreliable. I don't care for the extension tube either, as it doesn't match the rest of the light.

I think you could find a better light for $10.

I have considered that before but I already have the dqg aaa mini clicky on the way. Maybe next time. Currently looking for more heft in the 2 AA department. Too many 16340 and 18650 lights right now.

The C3 is a very ugly light I must say :~

Take the cheapest SK68 clone you can find, around $3
and ’oogle ebay for “3W White LED 2 AA Handy Camping Flashlight Torch” AKA “3W Police” AKA “3AA Police”, under $3.
Throw away the tailcap of the SK68, throw away the head of the “Police” light, combine what’s left.
Blow the $4 on improving the SK68 with either a decent emitter or a decent driver.

Info at Sipik SK68 battery tube extension mod

You can take two of the “3xAA Police” lights and rearrange them to have one 3xAA body and one 1xAA “Police” light — you’ll find a thread somewhere on replacing the blue-white emitter in the 1xAA “Police” light with a whiter emitter of the same kind

I have and like the Romisen RC-N3, unfor it’s currently out of stock for $7.99

tank 566 .. i hesitate to say it cuz i've said it 64 times before .. but i still like them and have a bunch in many different configurations . buy the cheapest ones you can , toss a nichia 219A in them and ... :) life is beautiful

I have a single AA light. Am now looking for a collapsible 2 AA light. I already have a Night core MT21A

I’ve never had the Tank light, but from the pictures it’s positively eerie how similar it is to the “3W Police Light” — although the “3W Police” is a single mode.

Does anyone have a picture of the driver and emitter for the Tank?
For the 3W Police, it’s a plastic pill that slides out (rotating it may help, to get it past the threads) when you push on the lens.

Makes me wonder if the threads are the same.

not my pics .. but they are from the tank 566 ... drivers on tank lights all have their TANK name on them and look pretty well made . Lord niksidor has abused this driver to make it direct drive...but at least he took pics .

Threads on the tanks are annodized and are a fine thread not corse like the cheap lights . i've never found any light that has the same threads as the tanks . these lights have Ha111 not like police lights that have paint from a spray can ..Did you say a plastic pill ?? :P thats just crazy.
