What flashlights for wedding favours?

So, I am getting married at the end of October. Yay!
As the evenings will be good and dark then, i would quite like to give our guests a small torch as a favour.

Does anyone have any idea of relatively inexpensive but not rubbish toches that might be appropriate? Cost wise i’m looking at £2.50 max each as i will need 50 to 100 of them.

Im thinking of something small, likely a keychain torch or lantern, but am open to ideas. Would be great if it had a quality feel with a warm white led. Not particularly worried about lumens.
Would be a huge bonus if they came with batteries as it would save a lot of faff.

Has anyone else done torches as favours, and if so were they well received?

Thanks for your help!

SK68, take AA batteries, about $3 USD, flood and zoom, feels great for $3. I would try to get them with a single mode driver. Have seem them on Ebay selling in lots of 50 and 100, believe the dealer was Tomtop.

Small keychain light if you're willing to stretch your budget just a bit, the Nitecore TUBE is a good candidate.

Congrats!

Everyone loves the Hugsby XP-1. Nice looking and good performing single-mode AAA with a nice clip. Costs about $4.17USD on Aliexpress if you buy 10 or more. For the quantity you are looking at, I'm sure you can get a better price.

A quick search found this link:

The SK68 is a great suggestion. But I prefer this light instead because it is smaller.

I’m sorry. I have a closed head injury and know what it’s like to have a lapse of judgment and make some bad decisions like making a honest woman out of some gal.

cnq

I ordered a couple for gifts.
Still waiting on my order since May 29, so give them plenty of time,

The camo sk68 from Gearbest?

Good performance from alkaline/nimh, good for non-LiIon users.
Unique look, get an assortment of patterns.
$2.99 each with the code, not sure if it’s still active though.

What about the Kaidoman Buckle HAIII? It is a single cell AAA light and quantities of over 10 are under $4.00 US.

They have four colors

Black

Red

Blue

Olive

and for a bit more:

Four pack of Black, Red, Blue and Silver

I have one on order in Olive, but there are other reviews out there saying it is a good light for the money….

The camo Sipik SK68 clone is nice, if next-mode "memory" doesn't bother you.

I really like the single-mode KD HAIII Buckle V6.

It's not as nice as a Tank007 TK-703, but it's a heckuva lot cheaper. ;)

I ordered 5 in Blue…. because I didn’t know they came in any other color :frowning: …. $18.55 delivered!

I was going to suggest these too.

I wish the silver was available a la carte as well… I think Olive will do nicely… if it is a winner, I will order more of course…

I too like the Hugsby XP1, have about half dozen of them. But now prefer the also highly rec’ed
Super Light for $2.99 w/ AA instead. The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s a twisty.
Much longer run time cheaper to leave in cars or give to kids. Kids took it for a weekend camping
and liked it better than the XP1 which ran out of juice quickly.

if you find a favourite you can ask banggood for best price…

You might check the growing list of AA and AAA lights under $10 here: Under $10, 1x AA/ AAA/ 10440/ 14500 flashlight reference

You will likely be disappointed. Not bright at all, but I doubt anyone expected they would be, but they fail to work often as the bit at the bottom where the ring is is open and I think the ring is the button so to speak. It likes to turn on in your pocket unless you lock it out, which can make the head come off and small batteries float around in your pocket. At least, 2 or the 3 I got were like that.

EDIT: your link is borked but I think thats the light from CNQ?

I like the Smiling Shark SS-5039, even in stock form, because the shape and finish feel good in the hand and look good. The 3W is a joke, but output is OK.

SK-68s would be the usual choice and very good. The cheaper ones tend to have poor tail threads. UltraOKs, from Richard, are consistent quality, but around $5. I like SK-58s better, but they tend to cost more and have a bit less output.

I don’t like the little #3 zoomy, esthetically. They are very practical and cheap though.

I got the OLIVE one in today, looks more silver than green to me, so perhaps they just mislabeled it (It is SILVER). This thing is a tank, big for an AAA light, but not too big. The attachment point at the back is large enough for the biggest keyring, and the twisty action is great. The anodizing is excellent for the price point and the threads were all smooth and came lubricated. The runtime is not that fabulous on an AAA, about 45 minutes or so, but the thing is brighter than my Hugsby XP-1, and has an artifact free beam. It is not dark here yet, so I will try to get some pics later. The reflector is aluminum and the glass is anti reflective coated, freaking amazing at this price. It also runs on the LiFePO4 AAA’s or 10440 LiIon batteries.

I like it for what it is, and think it would make a fine gift for any occasion.

I like the Kaidoman Buckle HAIII, and the Huxsby XP-1, and third choice would be the Super light. It gives a lot of light, and the price might be best to buy 50 - 100.

Congratulations to getting married!!

The SK68 is too rubbish-like for anyone's wedding imho.

Nitecore CUBE in blister packaging would be nice or a SS AAA keychain light. Get in contact with a dealer, you'll get a huge discount on 100pcs.
