Super throw documentation.

Fairly easily, I have access to a fairly raised area that has a view of public land that is over 1km away, it is on the banks of a lake. What sort of thrower would best demonstrate throw at these sort of distance? Sofar the easiest I can imagine is an xpl and a 500mm f8 mirror lens I have laying around. I will post pics of the EOS to xpl mount build when I start making it, mostly out of curiosity as to what other focal lengths will look like on it aswell. If anyone has a real wavien, or a diy one to donate, go for it, but you might want to wait for some pictures first.

Ive discovered that an aluminum box I can get a fair number of has an inside wall to outer wall of 44.5mm which is half a mm off of the 44mm flange distance of an EOS lens, so I am going to make a big hole in it and mount a female eos mount on it and see how close I can get to having a standard led mout to EOS just to see if i can beat some throwers easily available.

A bit of a quirky idea. Curious to see how this goes.

I also have a 135mm 2.8 which should also be interesting, someone at the other place did the same thing with a 50mm 1.8 pentax mount and it was pretty interesting. that was before waviens.
