I was looking for a video showing the beam differences of these lights, but as I couldn’t find one, I made one:
I’ve had the Spy for a year (notice the cracked lens), and just bought the Hobi. The end result after comparing these
is that the Spy stays on my keychain. I kinda like it’s wide beam as i usually use is for close-up stuff, and it’s also
grippier thanks to the knurling on it.

too many machining marks for my liking. i quit the video after the first 30 seconds 
has the Spy a broken plastic lense?

I was already looking at the Hobi but I was contemplating whether the price for the Spy was worth it haisss anyways I juz realized the Spy has no optic….

Very nice video. Bought the tiny Blackwater Kite flashlight to charge the 10180, it is a great tiny light. Waiting for my cheap rechargeable 10180 batteries from ebay to test and waiting for my DQG Spy I ordered last week from fasttech, as usual they have not shipped it yet, nor the light I bought 20 days ago! I think I will be buying the DQG Hobi too this weekend for it’s central focused beam. Must … But … can … not ….resist!
