They kept the magnet, got rid of the charger, and replaced the SMO reflector with with an optic. Length is decreased from 74mm (2.9 in) to 61mm (2.4 in)
im new to the site and will probably start a new discussion since im not sure if i should ask this here “since its about the s1 baton” or somewhere else. anyway i wanted to know if i could use an icr16340 battery instead of the disposable cr123. also if you would recommend a good battery that would be awesome :). came across

Yes, you can use 3.7v rechargeable li-ion batteries with the S1.
As to batteries, I’d suggest you stick to the ones tested by HKJ:

I am unfamiliar with the Foxnovo 16340 battery. However, the 18650 version performed average according to HKJ:
