The only reason a winner was never drawn for this contest is because we did not have the prizes due to snafu's. etc etc.

As you all know......Now we have prizes! :)

Chinese New Year is coming up so I think it will only be proper to still allow people enter the contest and choose right after the Year of the Monkey arrives.

These were thousands of these things sold (BLF A6/Astrolux S1). We should have many entries. ;)

I will admit that I am not the most prolific reviewer but I believe that all reviews are important. A review contest for the BLF A6 has been spoken of for a while so today is as good a day as any to start it. The twist to this contest is it will be a Video Review contest.

Rules are as follows:

  • Contest to run until September 30, with winner to be chosen on October 1st
  • Anybody can join and even members from the "other forums" are encouraged to join us
  • There is no requirement or limit to length of the video
  • Demonstration of the UI and its abilities are preferred

Prizes provided by Banggood are as follows:

  1. First Place: BLF X6/K6 SS/Cu Set
  2. Second Place: BLF X6/K6 Al Set
  3. Third Place: BLF A6
  4. Fourth Place: ToyKeeper UI T-Shirt

Do not worry if you have never made a video review there is a first time for everything just as the BLF A6 is the first ever to include a driver and UI designed by BLF members. To help alleviate any inhibitions, consider your review to be a tribute to the A6 contributors (referring to ToyKeeper, Wight, DB Custom, Kronos) and and and a tribute to BLF and the person that makes it possible for us to be here :)

Go ahead...post links to your videos here :) Good luck to all!

9/30/2015:

We have only had a few entries...all of them good. Surely even the camera shy can compete.

Since the grand prize is not ready and others are waiting to get their A6 we will extend this another month.

Come on guys/girls....Hollywood awaits!

This spot reserved for a video review, should I choose to do one, or if I can talk one of the other guys into doing one (Some of the lights I bought are for others who are not BLF members).

Never was it said that you, the submitter, had to be the star of the show. ;)

September 30th- I think I can swing that.

That’s the plan - I even asked my wife if she would be willing to do it. I just don’t want to show my face in public. :shy: So far, I haven’t had any takers. :frowning:

Inform them of the prizes !!

Granted you can never have too many flashlights, but giving someone something they already have just isn’t as exciting.

Not for me then because
1.my A6 still way to go
2.don’t have decent camera to shoot
3.i’m bad with english

Any prizes for last place? How about a prize for 1st to post?

At least it shows what the light can do

Was that the 5A tint?

Is that you saypat in the clip?

you could subtitle it in English? A not so good camera can still make a good video… Give it a shot…

Great review saypat, it is now in my top ten video reviews , it shows the light, the modes, and the appreciation of the owner, and: it is short.

At the rock-bottom of my list is a 45! minute video review of a TN-something showing just a table and two hands, going through everything with great expertise, he clearly was very knowledgable. :tired:

Yes, 5A tint…

since it was a professional video review I hired a ‘flashlight model’

thank you djozz - I hope they extend prizes to the top 10 videos.

(after attempting this video I so much more appreciate mhanlen’s videos and all that goes into them!)

I’d say that was money well spent, there’s just no mistaking a true professional flashlight model at work. Did you go through an agency or place an ad in one of the many trade magazines within the flashlight modeling industry?

Couldn’t you get a model that speaks English?

I didn’t get a word that he said

PS - Careful, or you’ll burn your wall down!

Ha ha! Love the thumbs up- that says it all.

Hi, my amateur videos  :

BLF A6 Tint: 3D

Kozy,

You’re one of the 2 best so far!!!

Thanks!
-Chuck
