Ronin Metalwerks | Custom Tritium Lanyard Beads

Hey Guys!

Well I wanted to put out a small introduction to a new venture a buddy and myself have been working on called Ronin Metalwerks.

This is a tritium lanyard bead we are calling the Hotaru, named after the Japanese Firefly. It houses six 1.5x6mm vials of tritium to help locate your gear in the dark.

So far we have been making them in Tellurium Copper and Zirconium but plan to run some in some more exotic materials like Timascus, Mokuti, Damascus and other in the future.

Here are a some pics of our work:

We would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on our design!

thanks!

Nice beads, I do like the design! And welcome to BLF :-)

Exotic metals..., hmm, do you do tungsten?

Where in Michigan are you located? I like the dark blue/black bead with green/blue trits, is that a Heated Titanium bead?

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Tungsten has been discussed, and its on our (not so) short list!

My partner and I are both from Detroit Area, I am now living just north of Ann Arbor.

It’s actually flamed zirconium, it anodizes very much like Titanium, but unlike titanium, it can be flamed to a very dark black.

I like it! Just did a quick run thru your site, nice and pricey, that’s a TM16 or a SD75 vs 1 loaded bead? Ain’t happening  unless I hit the lottery?

Yeah we understand this bead is a bit on the pricey side, however there is a lot of work, and material/tooling cost that goes into creating these. We will be releasing a few new designs soon, some will be less expensive.

Nice website. Great looking product.

Flashlight in the eighth picture is interesting. what is it?

Thanks!

It’s a Veleno Designs Gavina, it’s a 3-speed Ti light with a cree xp-g emitter. I love it, probably my most carried light.

Very cool product! Welcome to BLF RoninMetalwerks!

Thanks SB! I appreciate the feedback!

I would be a player, but fresh outta cash. When you do the exotics, Keep in mind its Budget Light Forum! lol

Seriously, Awesome work. I really like the designs. I predict that those sell well.

Big welcome to the forum.

Again thanks for the welcome and compliments, we will be doing some in brass and bronze to try and keep costs low. And a tip to keep things cheap, instead of loading tritium(since its literally one of the most expensive substances on the planet) would be to load the slots up with epoxy mixed with glow powder.

Great metal works and welcome to BLF!

THAT IS PURE ART!!!!11111

Please enjoy your time here, RoninMetalwerks!

its interessting, bbut the price is not so budget… i’m out

very cool design. this post motivates me to install a few lanyards on my lights.
